I failed again with 38% (2nd attempt)… I’m really stuck on this paper. Thinking of getting a tutor as I’m obviously doing something wrong. Can anyone shed light on how to go about passing this exam πŸ™

Passed – first attempt. I also find the Becker exam questions very good in addition to working all the ACCA past papers.

Thank you once again Open Tuition!

    Hi All,

Thankfully I passed with 55 on my 3rd attempt.

So anyone who has failed this time, try not to be too disheartened.

My first attempt I got 48, and then second only 43, so please have hope.

    Hi Kelly,

Don’t give up, I just passed finally on my 3rd attempt, I too struggled a lot with F7 more so than with any other paper and was considering a tutor.

Due to the cost I did not, I decided to go through all the notes and lectures quickly and then spend at least a whole month in the evenings doing past paper questions.

The focus on past questions made a difference so try to do as many as you can, at first you will make many mistakes, but just learn from them.

Passed with 57 marks and first attempt.
If I had more time to practice ratio analysis questions and published accounts at depth, my marks would increased dramatically.
    congratulations everyone πŸ™‚

I got 61% with first attempt! It was a tough subject but I think quite an easy paper this time so I’m glad I took it!

However I would say I didn’t practice a lot.. I just took one example for each mini topic and wrote it down in my notes. obviously understanding is the key and ability to do other examples and apply that knowledge to a different scenario. The most difficult thing for me was trying to remember how each operation affects financial statements (could be in SOFP, SOPL and etc )

And also by my calculations I thought I wouldn’t even get 50 so I was surprised I got 61

Those of my friends who are not able to pass this time rememer that at times Life may knock you down badly BUT the key is to pick yourself up and fight again and again until you succeed. At one time i was so demotivated that i left ACCA with 11 papers knowing that i won’t be able to complete it, but resumed after a long period of time with new determination and ambition and qualified the remaining 3 in first attempt. Keep fighting.

Hi, i also failed on 49%. However it is believed that students who get between 40-49 have good knowledge of the paper but do not know how to present their answer the way the examiner wants it. All you got to do is practice questions a lot and read the examiner’s report.
