yes it was C
September 7, 2016 at 6:50 pm #338752I am fighting for 50 marks only no more
September 7, 2016 at 7:02 pm #338755What was the answer to the mcq on roi. Did we have to deduct 40k from assets and add 250k for the new machine and add 10k to profit?
September 7, 2016 at 7:15 pm #338758I had a shortage of approx 11k of beta. Majority went on the 5k of shakes. Leaving only 4500 for the cookies and cakes. Getting a protit of around 22 or 23k and the deciding if they should honor the contract or not i got a profit of 41k
Loved question 31 think i wrote about 4 pages and did about 8-10 calculations. Hopefully i get the full 20 marks for this.
The first two sets of questions in B I wasn’t very hopefull on but looking at the list of answers rishavagrawal posted mine were very similar.
Hopefully done enough to pass
September 7, 2016 at 7:25 pm #338761Does anybody knows if there is a problem if I wrote multiple calculations, for different MCQ, on the same page of booklet? I did also marked the answers on the second page of the booklet, full circle, with black pen.
Thank you
September 7, 2016 at 7:26 pm #338762ROI:
Profit = 190 000 + 10 000 (net profit from selling asset)
Net assets have been increased to 1 260 000$: 1mln + 250 000 + 10 000 (as increase in net asset from disposal old machine)
ROI = 15.87%But now I can see that I wrong – It was necessary to deduct 40 000….I forgot((((( I believe that the answer would be ROI = 200/1220 = 16.39%
There was this answer?September 7, 2016 at 7:27 pm #338763Do you mean like a rough work page. I had a rough work page too im sure its ok
September 7, 2016 at 7:32 pm #338764I suppose I can name it rough page. And in the same booklet, after I solved the MCQs, I solved also Q 31 and 32, on different pages, nice arranged on page. I only received one booklet. It was my first paper based exam and I don’t know if I should have received a separate rough page.
September 7, 2016 at 7:37 pm #338765I think thats fine. I did the same as no extra paper was given
September 7, 2016 at 7:38 pm #338766Ok, thanks a lot for the answer.
September 7, 2016 at 7:45 pm #338768Damn question 31 I didnt base it on the contribution per unit of beta.. I just based it on contribution per unit. Shakes first (because of agreement), cakes second, cookies third.. Anyone else do similar?!
My fourth attempt at this paper and did not think the main two questions were that bad at all. MCQs were tough. Always a few I leave until the end but run out of time to calculate so end up guessing randomly! Fingers cross fourth time lucky!

September 7, 2016 at 7:57 pm #338775Has anyone answered Q32a using Throughput accounting with Betta (limited to 12,000g per month) as the bottleneck constraint? and then calculated the optimal production of each product based on the ranking of Throughput per grams?

Did we have to show calculations in the answer booklet? I was calculating on the question booklet and then just draw dots…:((( I know it is weird.

I was confused about that as well. But I think I added it in the end.
September 7, 2016 at 8:11 pm #338786what about last question limiting factor…OABCD…i guess it was C..cuz it was farther from B..
and that line C=.0xX+0.xY (x was something .16 .24 or dono)
and that slack resource…September 7, 2016 at 8:12 pm #338787what is the answer for Value for money, is it efficiency or effectiveness, i choose effectiveness since it shows the relationship between output and objectives.

What was the answer to the mcq on roi. Did we have to deduct 40k from assets and add 250k for the new machine and add 10k to profit?no its incorrect. we only had to add the 10000 profit on sale to the operating profit since the transactions were made in cash the net assets remain the same.
