I struggled with the MCQ’s too and messed up all my knowledge about throughput ..:(
Some answers. Can you please say smth if u remember?
1. I chose the sales managers should inform production manager, they should inform in 24 hours the customers about the possibility or smth like this
2. Gearing-second one have both gearing ratios higher?
3. Waiting hour per patient shows the performance…In Mc question 3 can anyone remember which was the correct answer? Which letter? I put b but dont remember the answer!what was theater indirect amount of the expense?I put 45k.the answer to gearing??????

I admit some of the question in MCQ section were time consuming, but some of them were relatively simple and it was just a matter of second to answer those question. Like there was a question where VC was 230, and question was to provide the price at which profit is optimum and the answer is 230 because optimum profit is there where MC = MR, and if anyone has gone through the Breakeven point analysis then he should be answering such questions in very less time. Overall the Exam was OK.Can’t remember what the numerical answer was but your method is wrong. MC=MR is right but MC doesn’t equal P. You needed to do MC=a -2bq and solve then insert your figures for a,b,q into the price equat ion P=a – bq

wish you all the best – all of you – reading the comments gave me a little hope that it may happen and i pass – but my experience with acca is always disappointing last Dec i did not cover even 50% of the syllabus and got 41 this time i covered all the syllabus yet I’m not sure that i can attain the same 41 really- It is not about squiring the knowledge it is about outputting this knowledge given the time constraint .

In Q31 accountant hadn’t updated standarts and as I remembered, only updated budget may be called revised budget. So I didn’t break it into planning and operational variances. This is maybe my mistake, but anyway my material price variance will be the correctAny thoughts on this?

Can anyone explain, in Q31 was it possible to calculate operational and planning variances given that we had only actual metres and standard?
When does the previous exam paper gets uploaded on internet? it takes so much time for uploading exam paper on ACCA site…they have not even uploaded december 2016 exam paper till now.
I gave 3 times f5 exam it was really disappointing can someone help me how to study f5 text because when i come to write theoretical answer i get confused what to write using the text provided in question… THANKS IN ADVANCE….

However majority people here have used planning and operational variance in that question so its a debate on what could be right.
