Fingers crossed we will all pass! !
Does anyone know if they will put this march exam paper online after results come out?

I don’t know why I’m sitting here. I must be revising for F9 for this Friday!!!! It’s more difficult than F5 I think. I just hope that exam wont be difficult. Does anyone did F9? Is it hard?

the MCQs were really challenging or am i the only one who felt like “what? excuse me???” for 40% at least out of all questions. it was quite time consuming, seriously. coming to the section B, I was already tired and my answers for Q32 wasn’t really convincing. Fingers crossed that whoever marks my papers, he or she have an ice cream first before checking my answers.

To be honest, I have not moved on yet about F5 paper even though I already had naan cheese and pizza after the exam. But yeah what’s done is done. whoever that still have papers to attempt, all the best and I wish you good luck! May the force be with you!

    Khaikasu71,
Thank you very much! Really need luck in this upcoming f9 exam!

I thought first that MCQ section B was a disaster and started panicking. Then said to myself calm down, just see how it goes, do one by one and you will get there. And then it got easier. The problem with section B is that you either get it all or nothing! Because they are interrelated and ask similar questions.

I must say that only lectures from here didn’t help me when I tried to do Exam Kit.. so few days before exam I started reading the book…. this is my first every attempt of ACCA papers so next time I will know that I have to start with the book first..
Before I have heard you don’t need to read a book, just do the lectures here and exam kit. However this approach probably doesn’t work for me..
Next session I will be reading a book first.

This is my first ACCA exam after the first 4 CBE’S (f1, f2, f3, f4)…took two papers this session f5 and f7. Hopefully I can pass both but learned my lesson, might just stick to one exam per session next time

    Hi that girl,

Opentuition F5 is by far the most resourceful for my case, but yeah I still refer some books and Kaplan website to do some extra reading and relies on my working experience. so the point is, do not worry, different people have different approach. Find study practice that suits you and you’re comfortable with. Anyway, always have faith in you.

Roh, I took F8 and F5 together and yeah I could say that it is challenging but everything is okay I guess, just need some luck when it comes to exams hahaha. It is just my advantage is that I self study using opentuition, so the flexibility is on me to portion time for work and study. the stress is there, but management is the key. I wish all of us pass the paper!

    Khaikasu71,
Yeah true, everyone has different approach to study.

I also agree with you guys – next time I will take only 1 exam!

    Rohvj,
How was f7? People say it is the most difficult exam on Skills level.

    thatgirl,

I actually thought I was quite well prepared for f7 and was fearing f5 more, but I feel like that paper took me by surprise and I was more positive about f5. Won’t know for sure till I get the results though. Hope we all pass

    Khaikasu71,

Yeah, I do self study as well with notes on here and my kaplan books and exam kits. I was pretty comfortable with the material and the past year papers as well as the questions I attempted on exam kit but these exams took me by surprise. I feel like a lot of things not previously questioned (and some not even mentioned in the books – like the operational gearing and input output analysis questions in f5) had come out and the wording of the mcq was quite tricky.

In #32, the values were given. How did you relate them? the first one for Customer perspective, the second Internal business and third with Learning and growth?

    q 31

    part c

how did you answer for this? I answered that as the production manager is responsible only for variancies between revised and actual, and as the design change was out of his control, he can not be responsible for usage adverse and labour adverse.who did the same?

You can further divide usage variance into planning and operational,of which operational variance is his responsibility. That’s how i did it

You found both operational and planning? As far as I remember, there was a change in price for material (material usage) and change in hrs necessary to sew in a new design (labour efficiency). How were the planning variances derived?

MCQ’s were soo time killing. Despite having an easier question paper than expected couldn’t answer secC properly at all.

Questions were hard. Didn’t manage time very well. Expect something around 60-65%.

Q31 for material planning usage variances:
I did actual production at standard quantity by standard price
    24000*2m(2.2m/110*100) * €3 (2.85/95*100) = 144000
    and
actual production at new design quantity by standard price
    24000*2.2m*€3 =158400
    144000-158400= €14400 Adverse planning usage
Is this really wrong?will I get any marks?
