Hi
I am confused as to whether I should get the BPP books or Kaplan books for F5 performance management specifically, as I have found that in the past my preference for publishers has differed depending on the subject.
Also, I am not sure as to what the difference is between the BPP F5 PM Workbook and the BPP F5 PM Study text so if someone could clarify this I would really appreciate it. Would I be able to pass with just the workbook and practice and revision kit then?
And does anyone know if the passbooks/pocket notes for BPP and Kaplan remain the exact same as 2019 or if they’re different?
Thank you
September 29, 2020 at 8:03 pm #587023If you are using free lectures for PM along with lecture notes available on this website then you probably don’t need a study text.
You MUST buy a practice kit from one of ACCA’s approved publishers (BPP and Kaplan) regardless of whether you are using a study text or free lectures for preparation. In addition to practice kit, you can also refer to past exams of PM available on ACCA website.
If you’re determined to use a study text, then either of BPP or Kaplan are acceptable, both are approved by ACCA. Personally, i’d say BPP because it is relatively less lengthy than Kaplan and the examples and questions are relatively less than details. Kaplan, on the other hand, focuses a lot on practise of concepts and therefore has a lot more examples/questions for practice. You can choose one based on your own style of study.
The workbook you’re referring to is not that necessary, neither are those pocket notes. Not much value for money.
