As I remember, it was $21 mln since $69 cost of acquisition+fair value of non-cont. $14 mln- $42 mln (S shares) – $20 mln (retained earnings). But I am not quite sure.

Pls can someone help me out? I cant quite remember if q2 in section b also asked us to prepare the balance sheet or was it just profit or loss? I am freaking out as I cant help but imagine ive lost some marks.

I also got 242400 for my total assets in q1 and miraculously the accounts balanced with 242000 for total equity and liabilities. So im sure of full points.

I think it was just p&l for q2, and then a short question on bank/cash. And for q1 just the goodwill question and the consolidated balance sheet. As far as I can remember!

self studied through Kaplan text/exam kits and did some practice tests on ACCA (3 tests for 14 pounds i think) and most of the questions seemed very straight-forward. I think that section B could be where you could score very easily if you do numerous practices making sure you remember the basic format and where things go where.

In section B there is always a question about consolidation. The other one not sure. In the exam was to build a pnl. Anyway Anyway, there are explanations about exam structure in the corresponding opentuition F3 section.
