I got 70% in f1, preparation sources: Kaplan Textbook and Opentuition Notes plus Articles. I didn’t go through all articles because of insufficient time resources.
in my opinion, Articles on Opentuition are more helpful and detailed knowledge for F1.January 12, 2017 at 4:21 pm #366173Hey, first of all congratulations on the amazing results. I am planning to start my f1 tution classes with kaplan in end of feb. I wanted some advice on how i should start self study in prepration for the classroom sessions. Also please advice me on a timeline I should follow.
February 2, 2017 at 11:52 am #370749that great mine is in march tho am using BPP study text and the questions on here to study i hope its okay and you said something about article on this platform where can i get it on here or are you referring to the note. thanks
February 12, 2017 at 3:14 am #372030Passed with 81% using Open tuition notes & BPP Kit
March 2, 2017 at 6:10 pm #375172Passed with 68% using Open Tuition notes.
The trick is to do lots of mock exam practices with the acca specimen test, Open Tuition mock exam or any other available practice tests. it will give you instant results and you can evaluate on which area you missed most of the questions then revise it.
March 4, 2017 at 9:09 am #375443Passed my exam after starting study mid January this year. Thanks open tuition for the notes! But practice is crucial too, learnt a lot from getting answers wrong, so don’t be discouraged if your failing the mock tests!

March 6, 2017 at 9:14 pm #376087Hello Everyone,
I sat for f1 cbe yesterday and I got 36%, I was quite surprised as every mock exam i did out of the bpp questions and revision kit I got between 70-80%. My lecturer told me that the way the exam questions are posed are a bit more tricky. Can anyone give me some feedback and some study tips to exam success please? Your reply would be greatly appreciated 🙂March 9, 2017 at 1:29 pm #377061what study materials did you use?

March 16, 2017 at 11:56 am #378447(I didn’t see this topic before and i mistakenly left this comment on the other poll about f1 March exam)
The CBE that I finished and passed about an hour ago was OK.
I studied a total of 6 hours for F1 by just reading the text book (I don’t recommend not studying, I think having a basic knowledge of accounting and coming from an engineering background kinda helped) and never attended any classes, because I had no time at all so I just went and gave it a shot. And success! It had many questions that needed common sense (at least that is what I thought since I basically didn’t study at all) and some about accounting models which if I studied I guess I would have known). So, to anyone having second thoughts and not feeling confident, just go for it. I wasn’t anxious I was totally chill and wanted to just see how a CBE ACCA exam is. And I did and i passed and I am so happy I can move on to F2 and F3 in June.March 17, 2017 at 11:06 am #378542AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Hey how did you use the opentuition notes to pass f1 can you ellaborate.
March 25, 2017 at 3:48 pm #379247scored 70% in March CBE F1. The only material i used to study was Opentution notes and lectures. im not from an accountancy background soo i would consider it a good score.
P.s the exam was tricky and you should probably focus on the concepts more.
Thanks Opentution!!March 31, 2017 at 6:19 pm #379801I pass the exam yesterday!! I study this paper for a month time, using opentuition notes, and bpp text book ( but i didn’t went through all of it ) and some articles as well. Opentuition notes is very useful but i recommend to study more using bpp text book, i know i didn’t study all of it which makes me hard to know what is the correct answer during the exam. During the exam, i read a question for like three or four times and find out which of the following is best answer. But i can’t confirm if i really got the questions correct! I even cover my eyes with the calculator when the results shows out. I really got lucky!! And big thanks to opentuition:) move on to FMA now 😀
April 17, 2017 at 11:01 am #382049i usually wanna ask that what are the basic element you have used from open tution … kindly reply as possible….;.
April 17, 2017 at 9:00 pm #382225hi there, i scored 70% by only studying for a month and the only source i used was opentuition notes and lectures. i would suggest to view all the lectures as quickly as possible and then study and try to memories all the important topics then do all the practice questions and the specimen exam on the acca website. Good luck.
