    Hi Tarek

I’m embarrassed to say this but I cannot remember your earlier post – it would have helped if you had simply continued the thread.

What was the context of my reply which prompted you to write “very difficult to write by keyboard in computer in white paper in process of preparation financial statements”

I believe that the ACCA system would now allow you to register today, 1st December (or even this month) and still be eligible to take exams in June 2014

As for number of papers, that’s very much a personal decision – some manage 4 papers every 6 months, others find that 1 per session is enough. Do you have other things in your life that would distract you – family, social life, elderly parents? How well self-disciplined are you – if you plan to study for 3 hours next Saturday ….will you?

I cannot advise on something as personal as “How many exams should I take in any one session?”

If you take exemptions for 7 papers, I presume that’s the whole of the F level except F6 and F7. As a qualified CIMA person, you should be able to manage those two in a single session

If you want me to comment about “write by keyboard in computer in white paper in process of preparation financial statements and ….” post again with the reference of my earlier reply

Ah! Now I understand your question! Computer based exams (as at today) in ACCA are limited to just the first three papers F1, F2 and F3 although F4 Law exam is scheduled for conversion to computer based next December.

Tarek, there’s no alternative I’m afraid. You’re facing the unavoidable prospect of paper-based examinations and using a pen rather than a keyboard

You will be given the exam when you attend the examination centre in whichever country you attempt the exam

When you enter for the exam, you need to state the location where you intend to make your attempt from a list of locations provided by the ACCA.

You will be sent by email details of your registration and you attend on the due date at the appointed hour, together with lots of other students.

You will be allowed in to the examination hall / room some 20 minutes before the real exam starts and, 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, you will be told that you may now start to READ the exam, but not yet start answering the questions.

Then, at the appointed hour, the invigilator will tell you that your three hours has started and you may now start writing on the exam answer booklet

    OK

    You’re welcome

Abbreviations, yes, use them. But NOT when you’re writing a report, a memorandum or a letter.

You can use an old study text and things have not changed too dramatically – better to get hold of an up to date version if you can.

Plan for success? Practice, practice and practice
