@joanali – according to an earlier post you made you have booked to sit AFM in March so the text has nothing to do with December results.
January 15, 2021 at 11:57 am #605930Thank you for clarifying, Kim.
Good luck to everyone with their results!!
January 15, 2021 at 12:37 pm #605936I have got that too, is it a little red number 1 circle near the My Qualification tab?
I think this may because i recently completed the Ethics module though.January 15, 2021 at 12:39 pm #605937Yes it is
January 15, 2021 at 1:29 pm #605942No sir There is a misunderstanding I have given AFM in dec and its my last exam . That’s why I am worried about a text I received from ACCA .
January 15, 2021 at 1:34 pm #605943@joanali – if the text (by which I presume you mean sms to your phone) matches the narrative of any of the e-mails discussed so far on this forum you should clearly ignore it. If it’s something else you will have to provide me with specifics of the phone number of the sender – what the text says and your student ID.
January 15, 2021 at 2:12 pm #605948Yes I got SMS there is no number it’s from ACCA . And the message is
Seats are filling up fast! Standard entry deadline for the March session is 01 Feb 2021. Book now:
I am just worried because it’s my last exam .January 15, 2021 at 3:48 pm #605960I got the same text from ACCA . Whiç made me anxious last paper apm.
January 15, 2021 at 3:57 pm #605961Did any finalist received the following SMS text on Jan 8, 2021:
“Dear student, as you work on your remaining ACCA exams, please remember to use our newly launched Study Hub on ….. Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2021! “
January 15, 2021 at 5:11 pm #605968@joanali @mjmay @valdimiro01 – clearly these are generic messages “Dear student” but if you care to provide me with your student IDs I can draw ACCA’s attention to the fact that the most innocuous of messages at this time can cause anxiety.
January 15, 2021 at 5:49 pm #605973I just got an email from ACCA saying I should book my March exam. And I wrote my final papers in December. This is utterly irresponsible knowing that I am still expecting my result.
This simply indicate I may have failed and they have updated their database so that I can get march exam bookings reminders.
January 15, 2021 at 6:05 pm #605976@Tai Wo – I think this topic has been hammered out on this forum – it indicates nothing – you are only upsetting yourself and your fellow students unnecessarily. I entirely understand why students should want to read something into a communication to infer a result but it is a complete waste of nervous energy. ACCA must clearly alert students to centre-based exam cancellations and exam entry deadlines and it is not unreasonable that they remind students (as they also remind affiliates and members) of outstanding subscriptions. When you qualify and relax and have time to reflect I hope you may better appreciate the many diverse needs of a professional body’s half a million students.
January 15, 2021 at 6:07 pm #605978I just got an email from ACCA tagged “Take the next Step” and it was all about about booking my next exam in March. I’m a finalist and wrote the APM CBE exam in December 2020
January 15, 2021 at 6:09 pm #605981@Tai Wo
even me I just received the same email, I’m not finalist and I sat for AAA and SBR
Dec 2020.
Swear to god I’m fed-up with the results, if ACCA uploaded the results why they don’t release them in order to continue our studies.
I don’t think such emails are generic.January 15, 2021 at 6:13 pm #605982@porschevee – and it means nothing.
Surely someone out there can change the subject? All you soon-to-be affiliates – what advice and encouragement do you have for students waiting on results for Applied Skills exams? Which strategic professional exam has been the biggest challenge for you (don’t say AAA) or has interested you most (please say AAA)?
January 15, 2021 at 6:19 pm #605983@Amaniabuzaid – just because you and many others can “see” that results have been uploaded does not mean that every candidates’ result has been uploaded. It would clearly be unfair that some students receive results earlier than others. Perhaps you don’t know that it is not so long ago that students would do exams first week of December and results were not available until mid-February. Having brought forward results by a month is a huge achievement!
January 15, 2021 at 6:19 pm #605984I am finalist and got this email now

January 15, 2021 at 6:19 pm #605985Same to you, I sat for the final exam in Dec 2020 (AAA) and receive the email Take the next step
I do not know what it mean?
January 15, 2021 at 6:21 pm #605987I don’t think that email means something.. everyone received it.
January 15, 2021 at 6:35 pm #605995@Amaniabuzaid – if I didn’t understand how you feel I would not be devoting hours and hours of my time to trying to allay students’ concerns and provide useful information to ACCA to moderate the volume of generic communications at this time.
January 15, 2021 at 6:42 pm #605998Thanks a lot for your patients, please don’t misunderstand me.
God knows how do we feel and how we are suffering.
for me I started studying AFM on the 18th of Dec 2020 as it is my final paper.
But now after receiving the generic communication form ACCA I cant focus any more.January 15, 2021 at 6:49 pm #606002Hi everyone, particularly those that wrote their last exam in December. PLEASE stop speculating about the e-mails, etc. As @Kim Smith has mentioned countless times, they do not mean anything. I myself am an affiliate-hopeful, and I think the speculation is causing unnecessary anxiety. Let’s be happy that we were brave enough to attempt the December exam, regardless of the result right now. Nothing that we say or do right now can influence the result, so as Kim says, let’s share some advice to our fellow students, and which has been the most interesting strategic paper.
Here’s one of mine. I found SBL in Dec 2019 to be interesting. I followed the advice to spend the first hour preparing my answer on my answer book (still on paper at the time), which felt like I was wasting time, but it really helped a lot. That paper required a lot of practical thinking and common sense, and I am grateful that I passed it on my first attempt. I’m certain this 1 hour planning time was definitely the key. Those 4 hours goes by real quick!
January 15, 2021 at 7:09 pm #606003Hello ..
So I had written apm 3 times I did not pass..
Then I took a break
I wrote AFM twice and did not pass ..
This is my third attempt.
I hope I wil pass this time.January 15, 2021 at 7:12 pm #606004I have been left with one paper since 2018.. my advice is to not get demotivated and keep trying..
I took a break ..
Now I feel I should have kept trying instead of taking a break.
I got married… And then I revisited AFM I think after a year and attempted did not pass. Then in December I attempted.. but If I don’t make it this time I plan to keep trying till I succeed instead of taking a break.so my advice is keep trying don’t be discouraged. .
Because I think if I had not taken a break and kept pushing maybe I would have cleared it .. so don’t give up keep trying.. if result is not good. Don’t worry keep trying.be positive.January 15, 2021 at 7:33 pm #606006Hi Kim
Can I please ask you how do the cancellations of the CBE Exam Centres affect my 7 year expiry dates on the 2 remaining papers that I have left to pass.
I have expiry dates of Dec 2022 for SBR and Dec 2023 for SBL
I am not keen on doing Remote Exams, so that I means I will have to wait till June 2021 sessions (hopefully!!)
Thank you.
