Hi,
I’m consideringapplying for ACCA as it is internationally recognised, but I’m not sure whether passing 14 exams, PER and ethics is enough, or is registering as an ACCA member afterwards essential to potential employers (accounting, finance)?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
Im not sure I follow…if you have everything that you need to become an ACCA member, then why wouldnt you apply for a membership? Why would you want to continue the ACCA Affiliate status?
I think to answer your own question, why dont you check out the job descriptions on the ACCA Careers website? Or other online job portals for that matter?
Best of luck!
I guess that must really be a bit of a weird question around here 🙂 Well it’s because I think that member title is just something that you buy, after you’ve done your “job” with all the exams and other requirements and means nothing to me (in the matter of personal satisfaction). It really ads nothing to your skills or level of expertise, but seems that salary gets better with that by your name.
Checked ACCA careers as you said and it is more specific, on other job portals just says ACCA professional qualification, so thanks again for that.
@kaja
Salary itself is one of the motivating factors 🙂 and it is kind of an indicator of your skills/expertise. Think about it…the tough exams and 3 years of gruelling work experience before they hand over the title 😉
No problem, glad I could help someway 🙂
