57% – my heart is racing. Unbelievably motivated to finish my last exam this December!!! Good luck to all my peers!
October 19, 2020 at 1:01 am #590026Passed with 65%! No more studying for me;)
October 19, 2020 at 4:27 am #590126I got 51%! I was so ready to have to resit this December. All glory to God! Still pleasantly surprised.
October 19, 2020 at 5:14 am #590133Aliamdulilah passed my final exam- am sooooo done with studying – phew
October 19, 2020 at 8:04 am #590242Passed with 76%, that was a stressful weekend of waiting! Final exam is in December, I feel ready for the last push (assuming nothing changes with the sitting).
I think the key to this paper is lots of question practice and revision of the entire syllabus, including the small areas. This exam had lots of little topics that could easily be overlooked during studies but would have hit you hard in the exam. Don’t scrimp on any areas! 🙂October 19, 2020 at 10:57 am #590388I’m pleased for those who make it and for those who didn’t like me… don’t give up and let’s work on our weaknesses and get prepare for December.
With 35%, I was not disappointed or surprised because I expected to resist in December the minute I got out of the exam hall. I believed I could have passed had it been a written exam instead of CBE. Now I have to work on my keyboard skills,
WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE?
October 19, 2020 at 11:12 am #5903971st attempt and fail of 40%
However, the exam day was dramatic, system failure, late start, 5 hours wearing the mask, my sugar levels falling to the floor mid exam (Type 1 diabetic) and not even attempting the 25 mark question, I did better than I expected. So not too disappointed.
Focus on my time management with lots of question practice I am confident for the Dec sitting.
Well done to al that passed.
October 19, 2020 at 11:45 am #590429failed with 49 mark! seriously annoyed to have failed for just 1 mark.
what’s worse is i know if I only had a fully functioning keyboard in the exam i would have passed…October 19, 2020 at 11:47 am #590433I am super happy with my ATX result. I couldn’t believe that I scored 78% with self study and Kaplan books.
October 19, 2020 at 12:13 pm #590442I scored 77% in ATX in the first attempt. Really happy as I had too many breakdowns while studying for this paper.
My sole advice here would be:
1) Go through the study manual twice atleast before starting questions
2) Do the entire BPP question bank (around 45 questions) atleast twice
3) Attempt atleast 2-3 mock papers before the exam in timed conditions (available in the BPP question bank)Lastly, remember that no matter how much you practice, you will forget rules, it’s inevitable. There were questions I had done 3 times, yet I forgot some aspects in them. That’s a part of this paper. Just note down your mistakes, and read them again and again. There will be breakdowns, but keep strong and keep practicing. It’s all worth it in the end!!
October 19, 2020 at 12:18 pm #590439First attempt, fail at 45%. Considering the conditions I am not too disheartened with a mark so close to a pass. However I won’t be spending £150 on a re-test until the covid related conditions are lifted. E.g. wearing a mask. It was a real struggle for me all exam, well done to those who passed despite this.
October 19, 2020 at 1:20 pm #590476Got 54% , Still could have got more marks had I practiced more question from Exam Kit which I did not. But I went well with the study Text and I can say that I knew almost everything from the Study text.
But I should have Practiced Exam Kit for more marks which I regret.
So guys plz Practice the Exam Kit and know the Study Text as well cz questions can come from any topic….
October 19, 2020 at 5:40 pm #590558My best advice for this (and all the P exams actually) is not to get too down about the numbers. Absolutely make sure you cover the entire syllabus and if you know how to outline your calculations in the exam definitely do, but if you open the paper and start to worry, just move on and know the numbers aren’t everything. I passed this exam without opening the excel processor, I only embedded numbers from the scenario and short calculations into my word processor instead. Write in short punchy sentences to pick up 2-4 marks here and there. At this level, you are a tax advisor so use your words to tell your client/manager/other what you do know instead of dwelling on what you don’t. Where you need to get 50 marks, we are lucky that in ATX, 4 of these are professional marks and 4 are ethics so provided you can tick these or most of these off, you’re already whittling your written answers to more like 42.
Well done to those who passed and best of luck to those who didn’t, it was a difficult exam and the conditions didn’t help.October 19, 2020 at 5:51 pm #590563Why don’t we have lectures for ATX in open turion?
November 2, 2020 at 7:04 pm #593880Fail with i got 10
