I’ve heard people mention in the past the articles released by ACCA on their website about a specific subject hint towards what will come up in the exam. Any truth to this and if so, how do you know the date the article was released?

that’s correct but I don’t think this is applicable for advanced taxation (UK variant at least) because the articles are a summary of the finance act and don’t focus on a specific topic.
