Has anybody out there had to suffer like I have? I submitted my application and paid the registration fee to the ACCA in mid-July. Now mid-September (almost) and my application is “stuck”(as I was told) in the system but would be dealt with “very early next week”. I have been told this each week for the last month. Despite numerous emails and phone calls (at international rates), I am still no further on and I missed the 8th September deadline. I am self-studying with BPP manuals for F4 and F5 and right now I feel like throwing in the towel and giving up. It is hard to motivate yourself when you don’t even know if you are going to get to sit the exams (I am entitled to exemptions from F1, F2 & F3 btw)
September 13, 2013 at 4:20 pm #140437I dont recall having any issues with registration (back in 2010) but ACCA are becomming renound for having a horrificly useless website – see other posts on here – and I myself raised a query with them (by email) over a week ago and I just keep getting replies saying “we will deal with your enquiry shorltly please bear with us…” type of thing.
So I can completely understand your frustration.
You may be able to try and negotiate exam entry at the reduced rate due to the circumstances, but Im afraid my friend your efforts may be in vain since technically you are not on their system as being registered as a student. You could try though – you never know!
All I would say is dont throw the towel in even though this is a frustrating issue – the ACCA qualification is worth it even if you do have to pay a few extra quid for exams by missing the early deadline.Good luck
