I got congrats email and passed
October 19, 2020 at 12:42 am #589998Passed with 63. I’m finally done with exams at the grand old age of 28. So happy.
October 19, 2020 at 12:45 am #590002Fail at 49 and this is 2nd attempt (1st fail at 46). It’s really stressful
October 19, 2020 at 12:56 am #590018Passed 53 % thought was fail according email logic being not received but thank GOD done with ACCA finally !
P.S. went through my brother technique in this exam that was to give a lot of time to first 50marks question and rest 2 less !
October 19, 2020 at 1:21 am #590052Unfortunately, couldn’t pass APM on second attempt.
The only paper which I have failed in so far.
Really cant understand what I did wrong. The exam went really well this time around.
Any tips guys, should I go ahead with a new paper or stick to APM.?
October 19, 2020 at 1:50 am #590080Somehow my previous comment was lost. But still passed with 50 🙂 Thank you all!!! My ACCA journey is done!
October 19, 2020 at 1:51 am #590081Passed with 57, didn’t even know about any congratulations email. bye ACCA
October 19, 2020 at 1:51 am #590082What mark did you get and have you completed any of the other options papers? I honestly found ATX fairly easy but it requires a lot of studying. It’s the sort of paper where once you get the basics down you can score some really easy marks and it’s a lot more calculations and rules based which is something I prefer.
October 19, 2020 at 1:53 am #590083Well done! Unfortunately I failed, but I don’t know what is wrong. Can you show me your answers if you can remember.
Many thanks.
Annie
October 19, 2020 at 3:27 am #590116Failed at 46, My passed paper is expired and I have to re-appear for SBR again. Guys please help. Very demotivated. Any suggestions please.
October 19, 2020 at 5:51 am #590143Failed 41% 3rd attempt. I really have no idea where I got it wrong. Well, seems like the whole exam, i don’t know whether to laugh or cry or both. I feel so stupid! ?
October 19, 2020 at 6:17 am #590149Got 41% for second attempt. 31% on first attempt. Any advice on how to pass it for the next attempt? I stuck at advanced paper for 3 years, I want to pass and finish acca. The other papers I put a stop for a while after 6th attempt.
October 19, 2020 at 6:42 am #590170This was my 2nd attempt after 44% on my 1st and got 49% this time 🙁 I’m especially gutted as it was my final exam, I’m also pregnant and will be around 6 weeks before due date when December exams come around. I really don’t know if to just go for it. My partner doesn’t want me to as he knows how stressed I get leading up to exams, but I feel like i was so close maybe I can do it this time and then hopefully not have to be studying on maternity when I’m supposed to be bonding with my baby 🙁 any advice out there?
October 19, 2020 at 6:57 am #590178I didn’t get the congratulations email but I have achieved my pass. Was my final paper and thankfully ? I am done with ACCA papers! What a journey this has been phew !
October 19, 2020 at 7:07 am #590187@Ohaisophiie, first of all congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you all the very best. I know what it means as I am a father and have gone through all of this with my wife.
I passed my APM today after 3 attempts. This was partly due to the fact that I didn’t practise enough past papers. Actually I didn’t practise on any past papers last time either.
The key to this is know all of your theory and in the exam apply to the model each sentence you read from the scenario. Some people say apply the model to the scenario which makes it a bit challenging. I say apply the scenario to the model and see whether it suits it or not.
I read every sentence and tried to tie it back to the model and explain why it is good or bad and why(add value). Everything in this exam I said was related to the scenario.
I think you should go for it this December while the baby has not yet been born. With the current COVID situation, it is doubtful whether one would get a chance to do exam in December, March etc. Therefore, as the chance presented itself, take it. Also, if you think you are finding it hard now, it won’t get any easier once baby is born.
I wish you all the best with everything in life and maybe consider an admin review while you prepare for December. I had a friend who failed at 49 and his admin review got him a pass.
Best of luck!!!October 19, 2020 at 7:11 am #590190Stick to this. You by now probably know all of the materials inside out. Patience is key. Passed on 3rd attempt myself
October 19, 2020 at 7:46 am #590227I passed on my 8th attempt!! DONT GIVE UP!!!!
October 19, 2020 at 7:50 am #590232My first attempt at APM and passed with 62%. Absolutely delighted and utterly gobsmacked as the results came through as I was convinced post the exam I had failed. It was also my last exam, and when I heard about the email fiasco I was even more convinced of a December resit given I didn’t receive the offending message.
Like any of the professional level exams, knowing the content, syllabus and theory is only your starting point. This is not enough on its own to pass the exam. You need to work on techniques by practicing as many mocks and exam standard questions as possible. Marks are scored by applying your content knowledge to specific situations and information given in the questions, this is a skill in itself.
Practicing exam questions whilst working through the example answers will train your brain what the examiner looks for in responses. This will also reinforce knowledge of content and syllabus.
Congratulations to all that passed. And to those that failed- keep doing the right things: exam question practice is key
October 19, 2020 at 8:02 am #590241I failed with 47 – very disappointing as I was quite happy with how the exam went, provided usually this is not the case and this is my first fail ever 🙁 To be honest, I am not happy with the fact ACCA do not publish the exam answers after each exam session. Especially with an exam like APM I think subjectivity does play a role in marking, so not sure if there’s anything we can do to request to have those answers? With all the effort and hard work we all put in, this is the least they can do.
Do you know if it is possible to ask from ACCA to provide clarifications on how they do the marking? I just feel very disheartened and am even considering giving up despite I only have the APM + 1 more exam 🙁October 19, 2020 at 8:24 am #590269Passed first attempt with 65%! Thanks Open Tuition!
October 19, 2020 at 8:27 am #590222Passed with 55% – very happy about that as this was my first attempt at the exam (I failed another one but that’s a different story).
Actually, I expected a higher pass mark as I completed the exam in full and was quite confident about my answers, but considering that a lot of people repeatedly fail the exam for seemingly no reason, I’m not going to complain about that.
I actually switched from AAA to APM after I failed AAA quite disastrously. To me, APM is far more manageable (and far more interesting as well) but it obviously depends on the person.
October 19, 2020 at 8:36 am #590277I’m with you. I was sure I’ll pass.
No idea what I’ve done wrong and it was my 3rd attempt.
Every time few marks missing – one, three, five….
October 19, 2020 at 8:38 am #590282Hahhahaha that’s how I feel.
I was expecting to get 60+
3rd attempt and how lovely it was to wake up to hear I’m not as smart as I thought LOL
October 19, 2020 at 8:43 am #590285Did anyone received the congrats mail and still failed here? I don’t believe the claims of some people on the poll.
