Hi am going to sit this paper in November, for those who passed do y’all think Opentuition is enough? as main tuition provider and please share any recommendation.
April 13, 2020 at 10:54 am #567567Passed all exams first time and AFM was no exception. Definitely one I was most worried about! Finally qualified!
Good luck to you all!
April 13, 2020 at 12:29 pm #56789335%. Not surprised. Have to do a really good job in September.
All the best for the re-takers and congratulations for all those who passed.
April 13, 2020 at 2:50 pm #567979I passed with 65%.
Thanks to OpenTuition.Anyone who failed the exam, the single way to pass is question practice. I am 13/14 exams through, I walked advanced tax and SBR but AFM is a hard exam.

Hi am going to sit this paper in November, for those who passed do y’all think Opentuition is enough? as main tuition provider and please share any recommendation.I have done TX,AA,FM & AFM all using OT lectures and notes, the technical articles and a BPP Revision Kit. Passed on the first try for all of these granted never above 60marks but I think that’s because I don’t put enough time into practicing the questions. I was nervous about AFM being my first professional paper and got a Kaplan text which I barely used because I don’t have the time. For me OT may not be as technical as an official text but it breaks things down in a way that’s easier to understand and gives me a good foundation which I can build on when doing the practice questions. But that’s just my experience and I acknowledge everyone has a different experience.
April 13, 2020 at 4:50 pm #568042Failed 34%.
Considering i prepared a month to exam, didnt answer any of the theoretical questions, only focused on the calculation questions and barely touched Question 1, i consider this a pass mark for me. Perhaps, AFM isn’t that hard afterall.
Was considering doing APM instead but with this score, i’ll give AFM a try in September and
perhaps combine it with SBL which should be my last paper.Congrats to all those who scaled through.
April 13, 2020 at 5:28 pm #568054Hi
Which College did you do lectures from i have been failing the Options and every sitting my marks are recycled that am planning to come and study from there please whatsapp me on +260 977 869 458April 13, 2020 at 5:53 pm #568058Opentuition is enough in terms of material, but the key to pass is exam practice using past papers.
April 13, 2020 at 6:35 pm #568073Passed with 60%. I always use Kaplan study text + exam kit for every exam. So far I passed each time on first try. I never got a lot of marks, always between 50% – 68%, even though I prepare properly. Not sure why this is. AFM in March 20 was fair. I expected much worse tbh. I have last one AAA left to do in September.
April 14, 2020 at 9:03 am #568171Finally, after my third time on this paper, I managed to pass. I am now an ACCA Affliate. I passed with 78 marks.
I would recommend that all those studying for the next sitting to study hard, during your free time at work (ie lunch), use that time to do at least one past year question
Not an entire question, but parts of one question, trust me, it works, and it worked for me.April 14, 2020 at 9:08 am #568177It was actually easier than the previous few sittings. I think you just lacked practice and understanding of the requirements.
April 14, 2020 at 9:24 am #56818357 marks on 1st attempts, could be much better if time was managed more carefully!
