I feel you. I also failed my 3rd attempt. I just want I got 47,48,49 in the exams. I hope to cross or touch 50 now.

Hi roccoh172, I think the approach MarinaG wrote is pretty much what I did as well. The questions are repetitive, so make a summary of the answers for the audit risk and deficiencies, and substantive procedures. Lots of reading, practice and recite of the standard answer provided by Kaplan exam kit. That’s how I passed AA.

I failed with 46 on second attempt. First attempt I failed at 49. I’ve used all the ACCA website resources, gone through BPP kit more than 3 times, done all mocks, exam reports and tried to master the technical articles together with examiner comments in the reports but I’m still failing. I don’t know where the problem is and its frustrating

Passed second time 52%. I think I did great and would score a high mark but I barely passed it. But hey it is ACCA and a pass is an achievement in itself so I will gracefully take it.

Understanding financial statement assertions is a key to the substantive procedures question. Hope it helps anyone who reads my comment.

I Passed with 50%. After marginally failing numerous attempts within the 40% range, one also being 48% in my previous attempt., I thought I would score in the high 60% range considering how the paper went, but that’s ACCA exams for ya.
The greatest tip I can give to pass this exam is to aim to attempt two mocks under exam conditions in the final week of revision. And if you are pressed for time YOU MUST at least attempt one, even if you feel you are not ready for the exam.

Don’t lose hope. I passed on my 4th attempt. 42%,42%,48%,52%….It’s a scraped pass but I’m glad I didn’t give up….I took a long break between each sitting due to demotivation but I got up. You’ll get there. What I did was do my own recordings, capturing topics that seem challenging, teaching myself in these recordings. I listened to them while washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. Took snaps from the books, etc and every time I couldn’t sleep I’d read these snaps from my phone. I was afraid to open my results email because after the exam I felt like I had performed my worst. Surprisingly that’s when I landed the pass. You’ll get there.

    Hello Everyone,

A bit late here given the results were on the 12th.

I passed with 65. My first attempt. I thank Allah for his grace.

My advise would be anyone attempting this paper would be to comb through the question bank(I used Kaplan) after having read the text by using the ACCA syllabus sheet as a guide. Going through the question bank helps u to identify past questions and be ready for them. DO NOT LEAVE OUT ANY QUESTION IN THE QUESTION BANK ESPECIALLY THE COMPREHENSIVE ONES.

Everyone has there way of attempting the exam but I guess what is universal is that when prepping for the exam while you cannot master everything you need to have an IDEA ABOUT EVERYTHING.

You cannot afford to leave everything to luck. Master as much as u can and have an idea about what u cannot master.

And please be aware of the IAS and FRSs.

It took me atleast 3 readings to understand the science and logic behind AA. There is no substitute for hardwork. You better believe that.
