A company has recorded the following variances for a period:
Sales variance $10,000 adverse
Sales price variance $5,000 favorable
Total cost variance $12,000 adverse.
What was the fixed budget profit for the period?

Either you have not typed out the whole question or there is a typing mistake in whichever book you are using.
There is not enough information to be able to calculate the original fixed budget profit!!
