    In F2 on which chapter can i learn on over/under absorption and on OAR?

    Overhead absorption rates are covered in the chapter on overheads, the over or under absorption of overheads are covered in the chapter on absorption costing (which, of course, is the only place it is relevant).

    However, using the lecture notes on their own is useless – they are lecture notes to be used while watching the free lectures. It is in the lectures where we expand on the notes and explain.

    Also, trying to pick individual topics is silly. You should watch all of the lectures because they inter-relate and go in order. The lectures as a whole cover the whole syllabus for Paper F2. The examiner tests that you understand the whole subject, not that you have just learned the ‘rules’ for individual parts of the syllabus on their own.

    Well Sir, I am having my F5 exam this coming June. I did F2 back in 2011. I want to understand the concept of over/under.

    Over/under absorption is not really examined in F5, but if you want to understand it then do watch the Paper F2 lectures (as I wrote above). I cannot type out the lectures here 🙂
