Is it correct to understand that volume related overheads vary with output such as units and non-volume related vary with number of say batches or set ups? Which would mean that each time a batch is produced, the cost is irrespective of number of units in a batch. So the cost of batching will vary with increased number or resources required for batching?
That is correct.
