    Are we alowed to use abbreviations in our F7 exam answers.. e.g. SFP, Y/E, G.P., CoS….etc???

    Yes , we are allowed to use those. You can even write CSFP on top of your statement instead of full name.
    but try to write those as clear as u can .

    and bear in mind that it all depends on marker. Whether he will be able to recognize your abbreviations or not.

    I will be using abbreviations. The paper is quite time pressured. The examiners will know what I/S SFP etc… stand for

    The opentuition tutor for f7 says … how many marks will you get for writing retained earnings instead of ret ears or ret earns. He says if i were you i would abbreviate like mad.. while calculating goodwill in w2 he uses naodoa i.e. net assets on date of acquisition. Every second counts in this paper.

    NAODOA sounds like some intense abbreviating.
    I don’t think I would go to that extent.
    The only abbreviations I use are for the y/e 31.03.09 and so on..
