Hi, thanks for all the content and effort you put into these lectures.
I have downloaded the notes for AAA (Sep/Dec 18 exams) and have started watching the lectures but am noticing that the slides are quite different to the notes, where in previous subjects they were very similar. Is this ok or is there a different version of one of them to come?
Thanks

There will soon be another version of the notes (Mar/Jun 19 exams) available for download in which the only difference is that the Auditor’s Report chapters have been further updated to provide some clarifications. When the notes are updated, the lectures are reviewed and redone only if necessary in some technical respect. Thus there could be some differences. I have only relatively recently come to be involved in AAA for OpenTuition, so perhaps you could give me an example of where the slides are “quite different” and I will look into it.

Thanks for your reply. Mainly it is the layout and phrasing of the notes versus the screen during the lectures rather than anything technical as you mention.
An example of where this is quite different is in Lecture 4 Prof ethics, there is a full slide on Safeguards not in the notes.
Thanks
LisaDecember 18, 2018 at 2:37 pm #492212If you are referring to the slide about 20-21 mins into the lecture – the safeguards are covered on page 25 of the lecture notes – Ken is just expanding on them a little in the lecture. This would be assumed knowledge of AA (F8).
Thank you for your observation – I will bear in mind on next updating of the notes.
