Hello sir,
Can you please help me with a blunt opinion on whether:
I would be able to try for both AA FR this June and pass within remaining 70 days..
My status so far :
I have watched 50% Opentuition FR lectures.(Standards are remaining)
And I’ve watched 40% AA lectures.I haven’t yet completed Revision kit..
Given that I have 4 hours study time for next 70 days..
Will be able to do both revision kit (Kap-Bpp) Twice for both AA and FR.?
Or will it be too overwhelming to achieve..?
Sir,
Your the only one I can resort to given the fact that you teach both FR and AAMarch 25, 2022 at 8:00 am #651842I can’t say because it depends on so many factors. For AA you need a sound grasp of bookkeeping and only the IFRS Standards that are examinable in FA (not FR). IFRS Standards for group accounts that are examinable in FR are only examinable in AAA – not AA.
See in my article here about progression https://opentuition.com/acca/plan-your-acca-exam-journey – AA/FR is generally considered a good combination – but if you have concerns already it is certainly better to reflect now whether to continue with both – rather than risk failing both.
I know you don’t want to be a prizewinner – but you may be interested in reading how this student achieved that status for AA https://opentuition.com/topic/my-approach-towards-clearing-aa-with-85.
LOOK at your study plan – day-by-day – how you are going to get through sitting mocks (there are THREE practice tests to use as mocks in the CBE practice platform) as well as the question practice in a revision kit. You need only do Kaplan or BPP – whichever you find most informative for answer debrief. It is better to work through each Q thoroughly once – rather than do fewer questions twice – because no two questions are exactly the same. If you haven’t done a study plan do one now – work backwards from the exam day – allow 4 hours to attempt an exam’s worth of Qs and debrief it. You should aim to do at least 8 exams’ worth of exam style and standard Qs.
