Which of the following statements best explains why employees are interested in the Financial Statements of their employers?

The answer is: To assess whether the business will continue in the future.

Why is that the answer and not, as I’d thought? To be able to compare the business with its competitors.

By comparison, the employees can decide if they should leave the business and join that of their competitors’, if it seems to be more profitable for them.

Somebody share their point of view?
