Hi All,
I have read that we can take 8 distinct exams per calendar year. Could you please advise if exams entered but not sat make part of those 8 exams per calendar year?
You’re allowed to enter up to 4 exams per exam session.
You’re allowed to PASS up to 8 exams per year.
Failed attempts do not count. (if you do not sit the paper, it counts as a fail obviously)
I don’t think there is a limit to passing a maximum of 4 each half year. But it is definitely 8 per year.
If you don’t sit the paper it Does NOT count as a fail. I didn’t sit one my papers and it came back as ‘Absent’ not ‘Fail’
Only can sit and pass 8 per year.
Especially with the ability to sit CBEs for F1-F9, I am sure this will become a problem for some people aiming to progress quickly.
Has anyone here reached this limit and can tell us what happens? Is this rule actually enforced?
Also, the reason behind this rule is entirely unclear to me.
Hi,
I would expect the ACCA will enforce the rule.
Obviously I do not know their reasoning behind it but I expect it is to help protect student welfare. How would anyone be expected to sit more than 2 exams every 3 months? What about working, sleeping or simply having a life?
I wish you well with your studies 🙂
