Hi John
Gutted that I failed again, this time at 47. Not sure what I have been doing wrong. Attempted 90% of the paper and was pretty confident I’d pass. Had been working on past papers as my preparation. Not sure if I should switch papers at this stage. Any advice on your part would be welcome. Thank you
January 18, 2017 at 8:52 am #368104I am sorry that you failed, but I think it would be a mistake to switch papers – especially given that your mark is so close to the pass mark.
You say that you have been working on past papers, but if that is all then that is not enough. Best is to get a current edition of a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – they have many more than just past questions. Also all the questions are relevant to the current syllabus, and they do have guidance on the workings.
I assume you have watched my free lectures, however have you watched the lectures working through a few past question 1’s? In those I discuss the approach to the questions as well as working through the technical content.
January 18, 2017 at 3:02 pm #368187I worked on the bpp revision kit along with past papers. I focused on both numerical and theory aspects of the questions I worked on.
I watched your free lectures and the 3 question 1’s. I suppose I have to get a new Revision kit and start working questions once more ?January 18, 2017 at 4:46 pm #368207The BPP Revision Kit has not changed much, so it would be worth getting one from one of the other ACCA approved publishers so that you have different questions to practice on.
