I wonder why one of four types of benchmarking, internal benchmarking is not mentioned in the answer from past paper 2015 Dec Q2 b, benchmarking. I see the company wanna improve their performance. Is it because there is no figures or information on previous internally generated target?

8y ago#1I would have mentioned internal bench-marking. Companies always have last year's figures to compare to.
For example, the KPI 'Return on capital employed (ROCE) and margin of safety' is useless without a target and the target would be initially based on last year's figures.
