hi. you can use 2011 book till exams dating dec. 2012. it really does not matter as any changes made the syllabus are only minimal.
i have done the same many times. pls many colleges or academy use same books which they teach for another 1-2 years. it is because new editions will just replace the chapters upside down or omit some questions which were there in the past edition. this means (if u are using a new edition) you may not be able to solve many questions due to being omitted from the new editions.
i have personally checked it and its true.
same goes for exam kit though i have used books upto 1-2 years old but rely on latest exam kits. in some papers i used old kits and it worked.

There ‘s an article about the 2012 changes for all the courses. You will find it in the technical articles section from Oct 3 2011 called “Summary of changes to the ACCA Qualification for all 2012 study guides” it clear tells you there that F9 has no changes.Check it out to make sure . Here’s the excerpt

“Summary of changes to F9, Financial Management “
There are no changes to the syllabus. One area however has been clarified in
the syllabus (it was implicitly included previously) and is shown in Table 12.

    Table 12 – Amendments to Paper F9
Section and subject area Syllabus content D3f) Discounted cash flow (DCF)
    techniques Calculate discounted payback and
    discuss its usefulness as an
    investment appraisal method “
