    Hello guys,

I am appearing for my 1st paper exam in Jun 2015 (F5 and F9). All previous exams have been cleared by CBE.

Need some general guidance about how to correctly write the answer sheet. For example,

    1) Are margins to be drawn in the answer sheet to give space for Examiner to write the marks?
    2) When making columns / tables, are lines to be drawn between columns? If yes, with a pen or pencil?

Any other such guidance is welcome.

Sorry for the extreme basic level questions, but it has been a long time since I have written any paper based exams. Hence any help is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Don’t under any circumstances write in the margins. The exam papers are scanned and marker won’t be able to see what is written in margins. How you present tables is up to you but lines may add clarity and aid understanding of your table.Don’t use anything other than black ballpoint pen on your exam papers .Hope that helps. If you have boy more questions please feel free to ask.

Where do we write the question number? It has to be inside the left margin, correct?
Also what size is the ACCA answer sheet? Is it A4 or some other size?
Is there some place where all these instructions related to answer sheet are written?

    Thanks again…

    Hi aliya25

Thanks for your reply. Got the point about not writing inside the margins..

Is the question number written on the 1st line of the page or is there some other space provided for question number?

Have never seen an ACCA answer sheet, hence am asking these basic questions…

There is a bubble that you fill in pen at the top of each page of the answer book indicating the question number you are attempting on that page. Also, on the front of answer book there is a part where you tick the question numbers attempted. This is for written questions.Multiple choice provides its own grid with bubbles inside answer book.

    Thanks Mrjonbain for your reply.

I am now clear about how things will be.

Also found this link to the 1st page of the answer sheet. Posting it here to help future readers of the same question as mine.
