Hi, I’m unsure how many points to make per requirement. I know its roughly 1 mark but up to 2 per well explained point. I’m just not sure how to get to the well explained point!
What else would I have to say to get the second point.
Let’s say you were assessing the prospects of a company making a luxury electrical brand and you were told in the scenario that the economy was heading for a downturn. You write the following alternatives in your answer:
1 The economy will decline (0 marks as no development, just repeat of question info)
2 The economy will decline and this will adversely affect the company (0.5 marks as a little development)
3 The economy will decline and this will adversely affect the company as sales will fall because of uncertainty and lower income (1 mark as more explanation and development)
3 The economy will decline and this will adversely affect the company as sales will fall because of uncertainty and lower income. This is especially so in a company specialising in luxury goods as these will usually be discretionary purchases and expenditureon them can be avoided or postponed (2 marks as full explanation and development for this specific company)
Got it, thanks so much this is a really helpful example!
