Interview with Charlie, December 2015 F3 Genius Hunt Winner, who scored 98%

Please tell us in which country you live, and what work do you do.

I live in Cyprus and currently work as a customer support representative. Before starting F3 i had no accounting experience at all!

How much time each week did you spend studying, on average?

I tried to study for an hour a day so around 7 hours a week. Close to the exam i did a little more, but due to work and my daughter my time was pretty limited.

Which study resources did you use?

I used BPP text and revision books along with my teacher notes and opentuition.

Did you get support from your firm?

Not really, I chose to study ACCA for my own personal development. Its not related to my job at all.

What was your approach to your studying?

I started studying from the moment i started the course. I did 30 mins reading then 30 mins questions a day, just to make sure everything i’d learnt was stuck in my head. Closer to the test date i mostly focused on questions practice and doing as many tests as i could get my hands on.

What would you say was the most important factor that helped you to achieve such a high mark?

Practice! And a little bit of luck in having the right questions for me in the exam,
