My friend sat the exam last month, it’s from the exam. How to calculate the growth rate here is my question. As the dividend wasn’t paid each year. But only 5 yrs ago and then recently.

    The statements seem contradictory…
The exact time of receipt or payment Dosen’t have to be known v/s the contract speicifies predetermined date in future for purchase or sale.
    I don’t understand

And this precedence of risk premium over tax shield is always the case? Thankyou.

Thats exactly what I’m asking how is the tax shield minor at 25% compared to systematic risk of only 10.4%?

I’m sorry but the answer mentions that the tax shield is only minor compared to risk premium, if you see the original question upwards the option C) just says tax saving
And D) says systematic risk. If the systematic risk is 10.4% as calculated above how is tax shield minor compared to it can you calculate ?

Hello John, the tax shield for this question would be 25% which is greater than risk premium (systematic risk) of 10.4% why does the kit state the tax shield is only minor compared to systematic risk? If there’s Seth wrong with tax shield would you pls explain? Thankyou-

Opentution notes chapter 2 Income tax computation example 16.
    My questions are:
Why did Elton not get PA of 12570 his ANI is less than or equal to 100000. Why is his ITL 8000?

Secondly there’s no indication in question of what amount to transfer, are such question testable in TX? Or is this only for practice?

    FROK ACCA EXAM:
However, in Sidebottom v Kershaw Leese & Co (1920), an alteration to the articles to give the directors the power to require any shareholder, who entered into competition with the company, to sell their shares to nominees of the directors at a fair price was held to be valid.

It appears I made a mistake sorry C and D are correct answers. I understand C is correct.

As to A I eliminated it, family agreements are presumed to have no intention to create legal relations unless rebutted so wouldn’t be a contract in the first place for the court to overlook the formal requirements!

As for D, now. I’m gonna paste the answer here
Agreements between family members are difficult to understand as contractually binding, owing to the motive behind the actions undertaken or promise made. This looks very much like a standard family understanding that when grandparents visit, Marion likes the house to be tidy.
Can you explain now why is it D?

Garry’s response is an offer but why? Because it’s a statement to be bound on terms? Why can’t his statement be acceptance is it because there needs to be an offer to accept?
