October 23, 2012 at 4:01 pm #75808nah, don’t bother. people barely pass these exams, look at the data ( https://www.accaglobal.com/en/student/qualification-resources/acca-qualification/pass-rates.html ) and then when some of these folks do finally pass they scrape through at 50, 51, 52% which you could hardly call “mastering” a subject. These same people go onto the the skills level and continue to pass “eventually” without bothering to “master” these subjects either.
what is up with such low pass rates? is it because ACCA is for people who can’t get into university ( which by the way has pass marks of even lower at 35% ) or is this just a continuation of how rubbish modern life is?gotta split, much more important things to do, the new ipad mini is being released, i’ll leave “mastering” my exams for later, it’s strictly for the birds.
have a nice day.
October 18, 2012 at 2:12 pm #75433yes, it is the last few pages of the above link which details what topics that have been deleted.
but i would make sure you know these anyways.
October 18, 2012 at 10:27 am #105649If you have experience and you can really hammer your 3 weeks of revision you will be fine. I am a little ahead of schedule and will have 4 weeks full time revision and I feel confident. depending on how you feel with the content of course. I find F6 to be rather simple, just the quantity is daunting.
October 17, 2012 at 8:21 pm #105643ok , found the answer which is “YES” it will be available after passing F1-F6.

October 16, 2012 at 11:28 am #105200i know there is no mention of looking for another job but this sort of conversation sort of leads to contemplation of prospects elsewhere, so a little calculation you may find useful.
£x ( your percieved worth )
: less: £33,000 ( your current offer)
:equals: £x (is £x sufficient incentive to change jobs?)October 16, 2012 at 11:18 am #105614give me some ideas on how you think you could pass and i will gladly comment
October 15, 2012 at 6:08 am #56772f1 you could prob do in 2 weeks
October 15, 2012 at 6:07 am #56771every 6 months, but first 3 you can do computer based, so i would book 2 exams each sitting from june 13, if you are working. and do the 3 computer based exams, 1 each month, i.e. november 15th, dec 15th january 15th.
October 12, 2012 at 4:50 pm #56486Put a picture up off what you want to attain from taking these exams and put it up somewhere, preferable next to an ACCA logo too. Then make sure you see it all day everyday. What you think/visualise everyday will be come a reality.
October 6, 2012 at 7:26 pm #105294I am reading about the monte carlo simulation in my f5 text book. in the syllabus there is no mention of this. i assume f5 exam will not cover monte carlo simulation.
what would you say the probability of me being correct on this?October 4, 2012 at 3:54 pm #105364A share is a single unit of ownership in a corporation, mutual fund, or any other organization. A joint stock company divides its capital into shares, which are offered for sale to raise capital, termed as issuing shares. Thus, a share is an indivisible unit of capital, expressing the proprietary relationship between the company and the shareholder. source: wikifiddlers
… so a share holder owns a share of the companies capital, not the company. the company is its own free independent entity.
October 4, 2012 at 3:47 pm #105343i used emile woolfe, only 5 quid each foran e-copy .passed all 3 first go, dont know what to judge because i havenot seen the others. but what i would say that is most important. GO THROUGH THE TECHNICAL ARTICLES ON SA. GO THROUGH THE PAST EXAM POSTS ON THIS SITE. GO THROUGH THE EXAMINERS PAPERS. There was about 15% of marks in there that was not covered at all in the books.

October 1, 2012 at 6:43 pm #72392i hope it’s enough time for you because i’m going for f4, f5 and f6 in that same time.
October 1, 2012 at 6:38 pm #105297yes, you have to check accaglobal site for exactly what type, all i know of the top of my head is you can not plug in to wall socket for power or it have a printer on. something about memory limits… but my memory limits me.
October 1, 2012 at 11:27 am #105257P.s. How many pages are they approximately, so I can start slicing up my revision time 🙂
