Pass 2nd attempt, Thank you Lord, thanks Open Tuition, Thanks David Powell (DPTC in Jamaica)
one to go P4Congrats to those who were successful, for those who were not don’t give up, I know the feeling.
Rubik,Richard,Kerry mag,Abdul and others who failed,in February when I failed I took Kasonde12 advice (thanks Kasonde12) I want to share them with you.
Do not re-read the study text, it is a waste of time especially if you are a borderline fail (only if there are a few weak topics, re-read that chapter, this should be completed by September).
Get an updated Exam kit (I use BPP) practice a lot of exam questions, (each one twice if possible) ensure you time yourself, especially the last 6 weeks before exam. Be discipline, don’t just read the answers, attempt the questions first, then make notes from the answers.
Know your Accounting Standards (very important) after practicing a lot of questions you would have covered most of them.
Ethics is very important (read examiner’s feed back and technical articles)
Audit report will always be tested be prepared for all types of questions (see Exam
technique video)Watch exam technique video on Audit and Business Risk (by John Glover) it is for F8 but it is very good.
Read all the technical articles (they are short and to the point)
Risk and audit procedures ( in the planning stage, during and review stage)
Finally in Exam don’t panic, remember you would have already practice questions under exam conditions. speed and space as Kasonde12 would say, and the required format, don’t give up your professional marks (if the examiner ask for briefing notes ensure you present in that format, remember your introduction and conclusion.
Be confident I know you will pass the next time.
All the best.
Any tips on how to prepare for P4?
