It was on Section B for me.
The Cv of an asset was 1.2m and the value in use or FV less cost of disopal was 1.4m. I forgot the numbers but Que was likeWhat is the impairment treatment for this scenario.
The option had
1.no impairment loss or gain
2. gain of 200,000 to P/L
3. Gain of 200,000 to OCISince it has asked impairment treatment and there is no anything like impairment gain I ticked on 1,but what should have been actually ?
August 25, 2018 at 9:38 pm #469323In this scenario ROCE is calculated based only upon the continued operation.
Look at the Note. The carrying amount of the assets of Deadwood at 31 March 20X6 was $6.25 million. Greenwood measures non-controlling interest at share of net assets.
Capital Employed is calculated on net assets and the net assets contains $6.25 million (from discontinued operation ) so it is deducted in 20×6
IN year 20X7, the figure 400 comes from interest charged upon (5% loan notes of 8000) and this is the similar reason for charging of 250 in year 20×6.
Not pretty sure, but instead of charging 600, 400 might be charged since there is the bank overdraft in year 20×7 which may have caused to deduct 600 and add 400 to calculate the Profit before Interest and Tax.
Since 20X6 has no any overdraft to calculate PBIT,the interest charge on loan has been (5% of 5000=250) and 250 has been shown as the finance charge .
(still I may not be right with charging 400 instead of 600,hope the tutor does reply)
August 9, 2018 at 11:03 am #467079While joining ACCA, I had opted in for Bsc Hons . I booked for F7 exam this september and the dockets will to be out in few days so there is no way of cancellation. Since I am from the country that needs to provide with English certificate and was planning to do IELTS after this examination, but recently got to know that IELTS certificate had to be provided before sitting for F7(FR) ,F8(AA),F9(FM). Are there any steps so that I can gain Bsc.Hons ?
June 6, 2018 at 4:38 pm #457129Sat for CBE and the questions were so tough.Section C was not that so hard but had to focus a lot but Section A and B as so so hard. Had many theory related questions rather than the numericals one and I suck a lot on these questions. The topic that I had full confidence on even turned out to be a nightmare at exam halls.
Hope I get at least 50% - AuthorPosts
