Hey time time time…… Q1 really took my time. I was reviewing june 2015 Q1 a day before and it was almost similar to wat came… it really took my time. The paper seemed fair but time pressured. I left 25 marks untouched….oh my God… I just need a 50% plizIf you don’t attempt each question requirement in this exam, you fail. I did it more than 5 times so I know. Sigh.
December 7, 2015 at 7:42 pm #288764I was trying to remember the contents of the Performance Info article. I used the contents of the question to help me answer that 10 marker. I hope what princessb is saying is correct because thats along the lines that I answered it.
November 30, 2014 at 9:07 pm #214901Thanks for this. I had absolutely no idea about this. Based on the discussions in the article, it does line up for a forensic investigation question.
June 5, 2014 at 4:06 am #174050If you look at your BPP exam kit at Q42 Cusiter part (b) will give you the answer to that question of matters to consider before accepting PFI engagement. I manage to remember the responses to this question, thank God so I know I picked up a few marks there.
Also, I would like to say that the Kaplan mock exam June 2014 was extremely helpful. The questions asked were almost mirroring what came in the exam. My husband and I went through the first question just the night before the exam, cuz I only saw that the link to download the mock exam was put up last Sunday. But many of the questions were on point. I benefitted greatly I must say.
I’m praying for a pass. Looking forward to August God willing.
May 1, 2014 at 2:16 pm #167010There is a recent article on Forensic Accounting written by a member of the examining team (4/14) that addresses the confusion that students are having with this topic. I”m having a read of it again, to ensure I understand the requirements properly.
Hope that this helps.

August 8, 2013 at 5:11 am #135915Did not pass on my 3rd attempt…got 36 again like last sitting. I dont know what to do anymore. Maybe I should just switch to P5. Hoping that I just do what people say that they are doing to pass and get the desired result. I just dont know whats so hard in me passing this paper 🙁
June 4, 2013 at 12:06 am #128759I attempted Q1 – Q4
June 4, 2013 at 12:03 am #128758I am just entrusting this exam attempt to God. I have snippets of everything you all discussed. The question I really messed up was Q4. Somehow the financial instrument wasnt coming to me at all. Sigh. And the part in Q3 about forensic accounting services….hmmm….Lord help.
We’ll see how it goes.
June 2, 2013 at 2:23 am #128187I used Kaplan study kit this time around. I found it to be very helpful and less confusing for me to grasp the topics for the exam. Kaplan Engage has an Assessment Exam on there, so I will do it tonight. This is my third attempt at this paper as well. Got 34 and 36 in my last two attempts, praying for a pass this time.
May 31, 2013 at 6:40 pm #128016Your tips are truly helpful. I am considering starting with the Section B first in order to maximize time to answer Q1. I usually start with Section A and struggle through Section B. I’m hoping for a pass as well as this is my final paper. I am just revising my technique and plan to do a mock exam tomorrow God willing.
All the best to everyone. God bless you!
March 31, 2013 at 6:44 pm #121173Kaplan most definitely!
March 19, 2013 at 2:35 am #120052I am definitely interested!
February 9, 2013 at 3:59 pm #116840Failed with 38….I see that’s the lowest mark recorded here. Hmmm….I feel as though after 3 and a half years of trying to qualify as I have started doing my Options papers since Dec 2009, what redress is there? I will try again. My final paper to become an affiliate. June has to be the final.
December 3, 2012 at 11:25 pm #109587I attempted Q1, 2, 3 and 5. Like you, Ikristalj, I avoided Q4 couldnt remember anything about Revenue Recognition. I was able to attempt 98% of the paper. Wasnt able to finish part (b) of Q1 due to time pressure. I spent a lot of time on Q1 and Q2, and most of the points that you all have mentioned I have gotten, praise God. Cuz I was praying that I was approaching it in the way that it should be.
I’m not being overconfident about my efforts, but I wrote until my arm started to pain me. This is my last paper, so I am praying for a pass. Really praying!
August 8, 2012 at 4:30 am #103403I finally passed after my fourth attempt. One more to go. Passed with 50…on the button. Praising God for His mercy and goodness. Endurance pays off.
June 11, 2011 at 4:13 am #84447I found that the exam was shocking. Couldnt believe that had I not spread myself so thinly across the syllabus, I would’ve aced this exam. Figured out most of the stuff on there. Didnt see any input/output analysis as someone said. But I interpreted the stakeholder thing in Q3 to apply Mendelow stakeholder mapping matrix on there. Could be wrong. I also messed up the EVA. I’m praying for a pass….not interested in being a prizewinner. I just need to qualify…been doing my Options since Dec 2009…its about time.

I am not going to pass, i am so tired of ACCA now.P4 made me so demotivated for the last 3 sittings, the first time being my closest to a pass at 46 (Dec 09). I simply switched to P7 this sitting, it was time pressured but it wasnt so bad. I’m hoping to pass. I suggest if you have given up on ACCA altogether bcuz of P4….P7 is the way to go. Just saying…dont give up 🙂

ACCOUNTING STANDARD IN P7 paper question 1 and 2…
IAS-11Construction Contracts
IFRS-8 OPERATING SEGMENT
IFRS-5 Non current asset Held for sale and disc operations
IAS-12 Income Taxes
IAS-18 REVENUE
IAS-38 Intangible Assets.Lengthy paper only attempted question1 and 2 + forgot briefing notes format 🙁
I read the whole kaplan book and cleared my concepts…paper went too bad 🙁
I got all of these in the scenario except IAS 18….cant remember seeing any clues of that. Well I pray that God blesses me with a pass for the things I did do well. This is my first attempt, I honestly wasn’t intimidated with the paper, but I was mad with myself for not remember the due diligence concept. And I revised it just last night. Grrrrrr…..oh well. It was time pressured, but I managed to finish 99% of the paper surprisingly. Hoping for the result I deserve under the circumstances.
June 7, 2011 at 7:48 pm #83474The exam wasnt so bad. I predicted that a due diligence review was coming, but when it was time to answer the question, I blanked out. So I wrote absolute rubbish in my view. But the rest of the paper wasnt too bad. I leave it in God’s hands. Aug 22nd, we’ll c then.

Failed with 44. Have failed this paper several times. This is my last paper remaining and I don’t know how I am going to pass this paper or even if I want to put myself through this again. Any advice. I was quite confident that I had passed this time. Does anyone know what the review process is? I am desperate for any help.I say to do P7. That is what I am going to do. At this stage, we need to just pass these exams and become affiliates. I have attempted this paper three times, my first attempt was my closest to passing. I got 34 this time because I was unable to finish the exam due to its unfair length. Congrats to those who have passed. I have two more papers to qualify as an affiliate. So bye bye P4….I’m giving up on you now.
December 13, 2010 at 4:10 am #74047This is my third attempt at this paper, and I was honestly annoyed at the length and quality of information to be sorted through in each question. It was time consuming and difficult to put into logical order. This is the first time in my life I have ever been in a situation where I did not attempt every single question on an exam paper.
Q1 was similar to the question Evertalk. The only difference was the last part of the question.
I chose Q2, Q3 and Q4 and man, was that a disaster. I figured out the APV and stuff…..but I didnt have the time to assimilate all the other information. I am so so disappointed because I need to pass to finish this qualification. Failing these papers are pissing me off. Examiners please get a grip and set more realistically timed exams.June 13, 2010 at 2:19 am #63466I actually attempted all the parts of the paper. Surprisingly too! It was one hour to go….and I still had the two optional question and from Q1(b) to (d) to complete. Practically the whole paper. God knows how I did it. The actual average cost question in Q1 really confused me and I was afraid to give up all those marks. I ended writing some crap, hopefully I may pick up a mark or two. I was just so desperate to fight for my marks so I can pass and finish this thing. I am so tired, cant see myself repeating again. Hope my effort doesnt fail me.
