September 8, 2016 at 2:27 pm #339058Why don’t you send an enquiry to ACCA? You can email them or have a chat with one of their representative.
September 8, 2016 at 2:24 pm #339057@ Ken Garrett: Thanks for your reply. However, on how to calculate the overtime premium that could be associated with the extra units, I don’t know why it wasn’t simply calculated as:
15 x $7 x 1/2.
In the solution, 1/3 was included in the calculation.I know it is the duration expected to take for each unit, but then it wasn’t included in the question prompt… So why add it later? πSeptember 8, 2016 at 1:10 pm #339039I know this is an old thread, but I am still going to answer it, just in case somebody might have a similar question.
The question ask: ” How much is Wilson’s take home pay in June”?
When asked this type of question it is the same as: What is the net pay?Net pay= Gross pay + Bonus- Income tax- State benefits contributions -other deductions
Therefore answer would be: 2000 (Basic salary)+ 100 (June Bonus)- 350 (Income tax salary)- 180 (State benefit contributions)= 1,570
(Here there are no other deductions).
Note that employer’s state benefits contributions are not part of the deductions from the employee’s gross pay. But, it is an expense to the employer. Hence, the answer is D($1,570) and not B ($1,360).August 30, 2016 at 5:59 pm #336351@Nabeel and @KenGarrett: Now, I see where I got wrong. Thanks for your replies. Much appreciated.

Why not go offline when you are studying? If you have already design a study plan for your exam then stick to the goal you set…
There should be a study guide and a syllabus for MA2 on ACCA’s website.
