It was 68 contracts. Needed to borrow the 34m in 5 months and would repay in 11 (i.e. borrow for 6 months)

Hence 34/1 * 6/3 = 68. The effective future lock in rate was 4.7% I think from memory.

What share valuations methods did people use for Q2, did people also do basic ratio analysis?

The hardest part of the NPV for me was dealing with the home currency that was quoted in 000 million. Overall they weren’t many shocks and all three questions were on one of the key core topics (NPV, Valuations and Hedging) so I definitely thought it was passable.

    Here’s to hoping

1st time doing the paper and overall I thought it was a fair paper. Definitely didn’t get the NPV right and it was time consuming inflating all the costs and revenue.
Assumptions were all the standards things, sales predictions, inflation and exchange rates, discount rate of 12%.
They were a variety of risks i.e political, economic, rep risk

Q2 I did different valuations method, NA, PE and DVM then didn’t know if this was enough so did basic ratio’s gearing, operating margin, trends between how thier shares performed against the industry, concluded they should sell.

Q4 First part was okay, had to find the lock in rate. The second part was a bit confusing but explained how margin accounts work.

Hoping for a pass and to be qualified!

P3 57% and P5 52%, so happy. Thought I had failed P3 and would pass P5 with a higher score but definitely not complaining. One more to go, probably P4, fun times. Well done everyone who passed and better luck next time if you didn’t

Yes that’s correct. You weren’t meant to work it out as there were no figures! Just say if was an appropriate way of Calum to access where they are a corporate failure risk.
