I am now doing part 3 of my rap.

My research questions:

What is the current marketing strategy of Clicks Retailers
What is Clicks Brand Proposition?
How do they communicate their product offers to their customers
How does Clicks cater for its customers given the extreme demographics in South Africa
Is the strategy effective
What can Clicks do better to improve their marketing strategy

1) What is the current marketing strategy of Clicks retailers. –
For this I have a heading – Ïdentifying Marketing Strategy of Clicks Retailers.
I have a page and a half of this giving a breakdown of all what Clicks Plans to do based on a document I obtained from work (Clicks).

2) My second heading is Evaluation of Clicks Marketing Strategy
Do I have to answer each question individually as a heading?
I feel that I have answered these questions on the models under this heading?

3) Conclusion and Recommendations

Does a company that you are doing a comparison with have to be listed too? For topic 18?

The biggest competitor is not listed. It’s in retail – similar company to boots in the UK.

The company I will be doing research on is listed.

If a company I am comparing to is it ok, to use a company like M&S to compare boots?

There are some products that cross. And it is retail to retail.

I left the exam centre feeling confident I had done well until I saw people’s answers on there.

Been wrecking my brain since 🙂 I am confident again unless I messed up in the MCQs which is unlikely because it was very similar to the mock exam I did here on Opentuition.

OMG!! I have been having sleepless nights because of the answers people have been posting.
Especially the NPV question. I actually did it right.

I heard it all here. Deducting scrap, doing 3 NPVs. blah blah blah.

It was actually just a straight forward question.

Hi All

I currently work for one of the listed retailers in South Africa. It is known for its strong promotional strategies. I work within promotions and analytics team.

Do you think it would be ok to use the company? I will have access to information – I will obviously ask my boss to use it who is the Promotions Executive and also
I will be able to interview CFO and possibly CEO, my boss and other senior guys within marketing and advertising.

It will be difficult not being biased but we are really doing very well at the moment.

Is this allowed?

I am devastated. I worked really hard but unfortunately I am not confident at all.

MCQ’s were very hard compared to BPP’s revision kit and I did ALL of the MCQ’s in the revision kit plus the ones on iPass.

These ones were on another level. Plus lots of things that were not in the text book.

Such inspiring stories. Thanks for sharing. I am a Mum of 2 and 1 on the way with a full time job! I was pregnant when I wrote F7 and F8 in June and I will heavily pregnant this December as due in Jan when I am writing P1 and F9>

I hope to finish the others when I am on maternity leave.

Good luck. It is a good thing that you are empowering yourself while at home because a lot of women struggle to get back into the workplace as the skills are just not good anymore. I doubt you will have a problem finding a job.

Passed F8 first time just using OT material and lectures. i used ACCA past papers for revision. Wasn’t a brilliant Mark nonetheless a pass is a pass. Loved it. My F8 was Free :D.

I have failed classes going to lectures paying hundreds of pounds.

I am now sitting P1 and F9. I am not buying any study text just revision kit from BPP.

Wasn’t the fair value BELOW it’s carrying value (3000)? Is this still taken as positive figure like above? If it is then got it wrong.

Yes doing F8 tomorrow. I should be studying really but I am so tired. Best thing is to study everything and not rely on prediction. I have learnt the hard way.

The paper was fair. I managed to do all questions. Questions 4 and 5 were bonus marks. I enjoyed these questions.

Answer $10m * 0.79 (3rd year)

different question on Jan 20×0 jedders issued $15m 7% convertible loan note convertible after 5 years 31 Dec20x4
This question then $15m + 1050 (interest) * 0.62 (year 5 discount)
Plus it is quiet about paying in advance or in arreas.
