I know this is not the right question for this forum.but it will take a minute or two of yours. I have passed my ACCA exams in December 2022 and an affiliate officially . I was doing nights shifts of 12 hours each day and also studying. The job was more like a labourer and I know how difficult it was for me to study when you do 12 hours of shift full of tiredness and with a family of 2 children. I was like over the moon when I completed my ACCA exams. But the real nightmare started afterwards. I am 42 years of age and have little experience in accounts. I was dreaming like once I am qualified opportunities will open like a door. I was day dreaming. With over a period of almost 3 months I am searching for early career roles but even then nobody is interested.
With a hope some one might help me in finding a role in Birmingham I am posting a long thread here. To those who are qualified now my best wishes are with you.

Remember if you go for LSBF. Ask for recorded live tuition ( of latest session) which are almost 10 to 11 lectures ( each 2 hours)
Donot ask for pre recorded videos

Passed with 69% first attempt.for those who did not make it; don’t get demotivated.ATX syllabus is huge so never mind
I am sharing my experience how I study what difficulties I have come across and how I overcome
FIRST you need a tutor and don’t look for free resources. I did my tuition from LSBF. The tutor was ok but the hand notes were great.
I took the pre recorded live tuition lectures of September and registered for tutor support for December exam attempt
I watched all lectures and made my own notes in 25 days. Once I finished my notes I start making the summary notes of each topics ( CT IHT STD CGT IT VAT) which includes bullet points covering each and single point of each topic

ATX rules are enormous therefore mostly overlap in you mind.
I kept on repeating the summary notes on daily basis which almost cover one topic every day for example I cover corporation tax in one day and IHT in next day etc
Remember not to skip anything and don’t consider anything less important

The above exercise I do for 25 days.once I think my grip on understanding is strong I start practicing past paper exams
I suggest you to practice from KAPLAN exam kit as questions are nicley divided in sections.
For.ATX you need to practice at least 40 to 45 questions in total.

While doing practice you will come across little new small points. Note down these in your handnotes with respective topic.

The final 6 days attempt 5 to 6 days CBE platform exam under true exam time pressure

I bet with you if you do the above you will feel confident in exam and relaxed

Hi every body
I am awaiting my ATX result (December attempt).I will share my personal experience how i prepare and what kind of difficulties i faced during preparation and how i overcome on these. I wish and pray that i get a pass for my exam.

ATX paper syllabus is huge (Corporation tax, IHT, CGT,IT, VAT, ETHICS. STAMP DUTY) and consists of plenty of rules which overlap each other. As a matter of fact if you do not keep on repeating them on daily basis, you will easy forget or mixed up. But positive side is, these rules are not difficult to understand.

First you need to look for a good tutor (preferably paid) rather than doing self study. I did my tuition with LSBF. The notes were short and to the point and perfectly made for exam point of view. However i was not completely satisfied with the tutor. Kaplan might be a good choice.

I did my tuition in September and attempted in December. It gives me 2 and half months for making my own notes. Once i finished with one topic like CT and prepare my notes then i make a summary of the whole topic which include the points i covered with small bullet points as an explanation.

Once you are done with all topics mentioned above(notes and summary notes) then start practicing past paper exams.

For ATX i use KAPLAN exam kit. The questions in exam kits are nicely divided under their respective topic

FOR ATX i advise to practice at least 45 questions (last 5 to 6 years) and for this you need atleast 5 to 6 weeks.

Also watch owais mirchawala practice to pass webinar on youtube. It gives some useful tips how to attempt ATX paper using CBE platform.
Remember the golden rule keep on repeating your own notes (on daily basis). It will give enormous confidence.

Just to clear myself what I understand from your answer is

Cash flow from pension scheme

Present and past service charges and finance cost needs to be added back. Contribution paid needs to be minus from operating cash flow

Cash flow from share based payment

Expenses related to them needs to be added back to operating cash flow

Correct me if I am wrong
Also can you please explain what will be the impact on cash flow if option and SARS are exercised

Actually I want to know how many marks for these 2 points will I get 4 marks or 2?

So that I will have an idea how many points keeping in mind the exhibits I need to identify

Analyse the financial and non financial issues which can effect whether to accept or not the contract (worth 18 marks)

If I answer like this
Cofold Construction expertise are making roads on flat surfaces while BETAL (new contract) is on mountains is of first kind.Company might not have not professionals for the project.
And at the end i will conclude whether to accept or not
Will it get 2 marks

Suppose in question exhibit we identify the recession problem and after I explain because of recession people intend to buy less hence sales of the company will be declined
