Hi anon. Thanks. Interesting you’re also Acca qualified and doing CTA? Can I ask why / what made you choose CTA?
Unfortunately I never did p6 in Acca so unless I do that as an one off paper, that may cover the general points you think I need for my future instead of doing CTA?Interesting you also have to do CTA experience. That I didn’t know!!
July 6, 2018 at 9:42 pm #461167Thank you for your replies.
The main reason I wanted to do CTA was because even though I am an Acca member, I have no specific experience in any one things (ie audit/tax) etc. And eventually I like the idea of doing my own work on the side (not my own business full time, but just accounts/tax returns for local businesses in the small town where I live)
Would you advise / recommend CTA for that reason?
Thanks!February 9, 2017 at 1:23 pm #371741I am in a similar position to tyc7700 where i am an ACCA member but without much practical experience as I have only done a few tasks once which was enough to complete my PER but not enough to help me get into a new role.
I am working as a Finance asst (although i am fully qualified) and really struggling.like the OP, I am 33 and feel as if i wasted so much time/energy doing my ACCA!
February 9, 2017 at 1:19 pm #371740Hi
when did you complete your exams? Are you working in a Finance based role now? if so, you may be able to gain more experience especially if they paid for your ACCA and invested the money into you!
Good luck – hope it works out - AuthorPosts
