So I got my result with an overall grade B. But it does not say specifically that how my RAP was marked between the report and SLS/presentation part.
Secondly, I was curious to know that when does OBU invites us for a formal Graduation ceremony and what are possible locations for such an event… (last time I heard that it could be any place from UK, Malaysia or Singapore). P.s – I am not a resident of any of the places mentioned above.
@trephena your response is always appreciated.November 18, 2014 at 3:13 pm #211016Just for my peace of mind and clarification, In excel when examiner say that he would check our formulas,
1. Does he means that ratios need to be calculated with formula in each cell? [N.P margin result of 10% is calculated by applying formula in cell at MS Excel]
OR
2. Display of each ratio formula is needed. such as N.P margin shown as = net profit/sales
@trephenaBTW I have done both 1 and 2.
November 8, 2014 at 3:56 pm #208427I would like help with Presentation on MS Power Point. OBU info pack has a vague and open ended direction towards it. Anyone who has ideas on how to produce an effective 15 min presentation is welcome to share his thoughts.
Specifically issues on maximum number of slides,
How many Ratios should we target to cover
Can SWOT analysis be presented via ART file stating major points within a single slide?
@trephena your help is always appreciated buddy.November 8, 2014 at 3:48 pm #208425Table of contents does not count in your allowed word limit of 7500. You should give a read to OBU info pack and guidelines within.
November 3, 2014 at 12:35 am #207324@trephena I have successfully completed my RAP and SLS.
I want to know how to include Financial Statements, RATIO ANALYSIS and GRAPHS, in my RAP that I made in MS excel for both companies.
Should I upload them as a separate file as an appendix?
Or to include them in MS Word file with my RAP.
Also tell me do we have to upload seperate files for both SLS and RAP ?Thanks for your help
October 28, 2014 at 6:52 pm #206457@trephena Sorry to be a numb skull here but i would really appreciate your view on it.
1. when u say mention this as a limitation, should i do that in part 2 under “Models and ratios used and their limitations” was discussed?
Or in my financial analysis which is part 3 of RAP under explanatory comments relating to ROCE?
Also I decided to include ROE in my ratios. With inherent limitation of this ratio that it includes cash which is idle and does not earn any profit, I made another ratio with adjusted equity derived from (Net profit / equity- cash).
Just wondering is it okay to think out of the box?October 26, 2014 at 8:29 pm #206137Also I decided to include ROE in my ratios. and later in final part of RAP, in recomendations i can give management advice to hold foriegn currencies as devaluation of local curency plus 80% of raw materials have to be imported.
My ROCE is not coming accurate to what it is in Annual reports for both primary and comparator company, whereas I have looked into notes tried to make adjustments but no way those ratios turn up to be accurate. I have also tried various other methods of calculating ROCE and its denominations ,such as replacing numerator with operating profit and Net Profit. Deriving Capital employed from Total assets less current liabilities OR Equity plus Non Current Liability.
Should I proceed with minor differences of 1-2% in my ROCE or not? Please your comments on this would be very helpful.
