Ya! for example the year end is 31 Dec 2011 but the invoice come in Jan 2012
but the cost is for Y/A 2011(=accruals) not Y/A2012
so auditor should concern about this…
I just done this kind of question in the pilot paper Q1 is quite a good qs u may have a try
    is about GRN
Besides of review invoices and payment receipts we could also flip through the date of work order or the DO (My suggestion…) Can it be? Mr Gromit??

    The preference share should be 30m X 6 % = $1.8m
Interim preference share is $900 is half of all the redeemable dividend
    so the accrued dividend should calculate as (30m X 6% X 6/12)=$900

& for the provision for negligence claim
The question said the unprovided amount of the claim $30000 was charged to operating expenses so it should be an expenses right then I have to adjust for the non cash item by adding $30000
but the answer provided is deduct it so it is considered an income
Could you explain tis to me?
    TQ very much

I am still not clear about the calculation of the delaying payment to trainers.
For exp: $8,000 is the invoice charged in Q1 50% will be delayed so in Q1 should charge $4,000 right? and another $4,000 will be paid in Q3.
so in Q3 the amount should be $14,000
    Is it? very confuse @.@
