Hi there,
Just following on from this – I’m currently employed in a relevant role as a Financial Analyst and about halfway through ACCA (just sat F6 & F7 this week). I plan to do CIMA straight after completing the exams for ACCA due to the exemptions and extra topics. My main reasoning being that as an Analyst, my work is more operational based and that the skills in CIMA are more associated with business operation over typical business accounting.
To your point of employers caring about experience, that isn’t my issue, my main wish is to develop my personal skill and knowledge level to beyond sufficient to greater and help diversify and improve what i can bring to my position. Will the further techniques that are learnt in the additional CIMA modules be worth it or would there me more gained through carrying on through work alone.
Thanks
