I got 64 thank you Jesus, this was my third attempt, this paper is all to do with marking techinque, 1 mark for 1 point (1 point equals 1 full sentence of – the point, evident from scenerio and your explanation of it), i didnt realise this when i first sat the paper and it cost me dearly. NEVER TRY TO MAKE 2 POINTS IN 1 Sentence or paragraph they wont give you the full mark you deserve !

Just do two phrases to make a full sentence for each point and go on to the next point. You are giving 1 mark for 1 point(sentence) all the time never 2 marks (wish i had know this from the start, so dont make the same mistake please i am begging you ) 🙂

This is great! thanks for posting.

One thing i dont understand is The PEE(Point, evidence, explain)
If you make 1 point and 1 evidence from the senerio for 1mark, to explain to get get second mark do you have to explain in 2 sentences as well?

And if this is the case, can some tell me for a 10mark question is it possible to make 20 sentence in the time (1.5min) allocated.

Please reply if you have the answer i am really struggling with this

I donot understand why they have to make the paper too difficult and time pressured as well, they have to understand that this are professional exams, majority of student are working, having study the whole study text and rev. kit student should be able to pass the exam, however they examine topics not in the ‘Approved’study text or set question that are too time pressured. Majority of the time if student have another extra minute they will actually think properly and answer the questions correctly

It can be very fraustrating knowing that you can still do more but there is no enough time.
And its definately not thesame thing as managing your time in the real world, this is just a deliberate act to purposely catch student out, and that is why people are switching to other accounting bodies this days as they are more realistic and understanding

You should get the latest study materials, there is a big difference between the Finance act 2009 and 2010. I wouldn’t take the risk !

Hi all please take timeout to fill the ACCA exam survey. it might be the difference between pass and fail. Many people find the exam tough and unfair, and this should be campaigned

The exam is hard enough guys , please don’t ruin your summer by discussing the details of the questions.. Just let us know whether you find it easy or difficult

For me it was difficult. Magt of earnings for 15 marks, thats unfair!
That is unlike Greham to set questions like that, are we seeing a new trend.is this anything to do with current situation?
