Wohoooooooooo! I today become an Affiliate… .. Passed p5 with 51.. the four year struggle is over…….. of juggling between home, kids and work!!!!!! Allah is great!
Hey Guys…. I am also a finalist..and my page has also turned white…I don’t know what that means… but all that speculations is now getting into me…. . Well, i wish all the best to all the students out there…..!
Q2 was the tricky one…the rest were pretty much okay….though i never was sure whether i had written was just enough for the marks allocated..did q1,2,3 & 4. Hopefully…we all will pass…Off to P5 now on Thursday! Good luck to all….

Please can you update regarding the letter you were supposed to write on Tuesday as per your earlier posts……
Kindly enlighten….if possible post the letter on this site, we want to see it.
I can see you have many supporters including myself!This was my second sitting for p5, i have never failed in any other papers… Juggling between work, kids, home and studies..i sacrificed a lot and really worked hard, just to sit a paper where no question clearly makes sense….p5 is really me letting me down..i am this close to finishing ACCA……Hope someone is taking note of the trauma we students are going through by an examiner who is hell bent on putting us down!
Hmm..i see pepople commenting about question 1b, on segment reporting..but i
( my opinion).. did not personally relate to operating segment.. actually it made no sense… i think they were asking on ethics regarding disclosure and how it may affect the shareholders and stakeholders…… ( i may not be right).. what do you guys think could i possibly be right?well i dont know..q1..i was expecting something real hard.. lots of data and questions…. information being thrown… not to say this was easy i struggled my way out .. part b.. i dont remember what i wrote..part c..a lot of input was from p1 stakeholders and stuff csr.
q2. entity reconstruction….. somehow the figures just wouldnt fit in… but i did play a bit of jigsaw in that one..theory part…am not so sure…
q3.. impairment…. the info put me off so i opted it out
q4..revenue recognition…. i just hope i wrote enough to earn the enough marks….. all in all the paper just lives me blank!!! hoping for the best!.Lols.. in q1 i did the ev , and maximin, minimax thing..but after reading the above comments i know i have messed it up big time..during the paper i had a feeling that something was amiss… but wasnt sure..just rushing against time….i think the examiner should realise that due to time pressure *sometimes our heads do clog up….. all those time spent studying and at the end of the day..its do or die situation…makes you wonder!…lets see what feb holds for us…
q! 19 marks… i did everything from ev to maxi min mini max rules… though im not sure about it, i dont remember what i did with Q2. Q4..must be okay..im not sure..q5b..Kaizan costing? i think i missed reading that in my studies…nobody else seems to have a problem with it..:( …fingers crossed!
ALhamdulilah! i passed with a 53% yes but was so expecting more…… the paper had gone well……but anyways..grateful to have made it rather than a resit..
Alhamdolilah…passed the second attempt on the dot!….I loved F9 as a paper and the exams went pretty well thus was expecting more..but anyways..atleast no resits..
I used pestel and swot for q1.. i wonder swot was the correct model to use…
q2. npv, irr, payback??? more of f9…..
q4: emarketing… omg.. lengthy paper how on earth do u absorb so much info in such a short time span…
q3. i found it too daunting so i opted out…..
a pass.. is all that is needed.. so God help us all!!!!!!!!Q1. I was confused on what rates to use but since it asked for nominal rates so i used 12 %…i inflated the seling ,vc, fc. forgot to recover working capital in year 4 :(…. investment appraisal wrote about npv, irr.. i think i messed up
Q2. I think it was about the effect of cost of debt on wacc… i just hope i did the calculations right on wacc..
Q3. Was really running out of time… really time pressurizing .. keeping my fingers crossed><
Q4. Did we have to calculate EOQ for bulk discounts? i did the settlement part managed to do it but somehow messed up with bulk discounts. i have a feeling i mssed up money market hedging.. coz i got a somewhat a big diff btn money market and forward… it was all self study fr me….. i hope i can make it…well.. i think it was quite a lengthy paper.. i attempted q 1,3 and 4…. seems most people attempted q2. wonder if i made the right choice.. i was too confused but the last part of q2 put me off so idecided to dig in for q4. anyways.. fingers crossed..lets see what the results will hold!

I had done enough practise.. i really studied hard and still i found the paper difficult! i have done so many mistakes!!!!! our lecturer had given us notes on borrowing cost fr abt 4 lines..with no calculations whatsoever being taught!
From now on im not relying on any college or lecturers…! But OT u guys are good…. failing this paper or any paper for that matter will be too unbearable…
Its so demoralising….! i hope the examiner will be very leniant..! F7 why are you being so difficult????????
