Thats Great, thank you John! Much appreciated
December 5, 2023 at 1:15 pm #696154Yep, the whole exam had the same theme to it, there was no balance to it at all and a few q’s were very vague. ACCA usually send a survey out after the exams asking what students thought… I’ll definitely be making a few comments around this.
December 5, 2023 at 9:12 am #696122Similar to you I just put the effect of the methods on the divisions as best as I could. Still can’t believe they put a question for that worth 14 marks in the exam. Don’t believe it was a fair exam at all
December 4, 2023 at 9:58 pm #696083Two questions in this exam threw me a lot. Standard costing in Q1 and I couldn’t quite believe the question on Hopwoods management for 14(!) marks… barely anything in the revision notes for this and hadnt practiced any question on it. Q2 was also quite difficult. No q’s at all on topics such as PEST, BCG, KPI’s which was strange or any of the big topics. This was a very, very tough paper from ACCA and I’m very surprised they put a paper like this out.

April 7, 2019 at 7:54 pm #511408Thanks, so could i still use lecture notes that i had for June 2018? I am also going to buy the BPP practice and revision kit
May 25, 2018 at 1:32 pm #453907Ive passed p1 and p3. For P1 it is mostly knowledge, so make sure you know the content well in order to write as much as you can (make sure it is relevant to question obviously). P3 is a little harder, it requires much more application so i would make sure you practice as many exam standard questions as possible. On some questions it is easy to pick up common sense marks, so just make sure what you say makes sense and you justify it. Cant say anything about P2 as im sitting it in June too!
