It has been said by many persons here guys, so let me reiterate.Re: 10 year rule
The ten year rule was reset with the syllabus change in 2007, that would have expired in 2017. ACCA has changed the rule effective 2016.New rule: 7 year rule
Now all fundamentals levels which have been passed no longer have an expiration date. P-level papers passed now have a 7 year time limit. Any P-level papers passed 7 years or more without completing all P-level papers will expire and hence will have to be redone.Let me give you practical examples
You passed P1 in June 2008 and in June 2015 you have only P7 left. You fail P7 in the June sitting. Then for December 2015 you will have to resit P7 and P1 as P1 pass will have expired, and so on and so on.
You passed P1 in June 2014. You have until June 2021 to complete P-level.
You have not yet sat any P-level papers as of June 2015. You don’t fall under the 7 year rule as yet.
What if I did not pass any of P-level papers and my last session remain 4 years. Do I still fall under 7 years rule for my first P-level paper?
