I do have a question though which is very important and more general.I don’t think starting a new thread about it is needed.
The question is what is needed if you want to work at a big 4/consulting company like KPMG or McKinsey.Are the ACCA qualification and general accounting knowledge required to work for such a company or will an MBA from a good b school be enough?The reason I am asking is because i see (on linkedin and elsewhere) many professionals who are very advanced in accounting and work for such companies.
Of course i know that just a degree/certification won’t get me through the door,i just want to know what the right path is.
