Its seems its the period of 50s pass. But what matters is a pass is a pass. My 4th attempt God this time helped me l got a super 52%. That was my final exam. To those who did not make it this time please dont give up just like me l failed so many times on these last 4 Exams but l can afford a smile today. Thanks to some guys who passed last March 2023 l found on this platform who were kind enough to motivate me when l was so so sad after my unexpected fail mark and these guys emailed me additional usefull material. Thanks Open tuition for this platform l met good kind people here.
September 5, 2023 at 5:23 pm #691435Let me try to recall what I encountered for the benefit of those preparing for UK Tax for Dec 2023. This is not in Question order:
On Ethics – A refund/error, then Roll over for Grp, Warehse gain, specialized machinery loss, BPR on shares and unregistered busin, Furnished rental cottage, SIP, Estate, Domicile determination, pension effect, Vat on imports, Transfer pricing, CGT on Residential part rented house, Capital Loss on shares, FB on Computer, Redundancy package. Good lucky to those who wrote and those still preparing for Dec 2023.July 7, 2023 at 3:15 pm #687733Me too Incepaul I am waiting to hear my fate on ATX -UK. That’s my final too.
June 18, 2023 at 7:33 am #687195Unfortunately l couldnt even analysed this scenario enough l was running out of time since l finished last with Q1. So l quickly picked the easy marks in Q1 as l was already tired by the time l got to Q1.
It seems we got same papers l took a centre Exam others seems to have remote exams so there questions were different from the ours.
It seems like Stephvanderw and ewelinagabiec they got a better exam which was different from ours. They got all my favorate topics ???.
I might not have attempted 14 marks but l am not worried though since with Tax anything is possible unlike AAA.June 12, 2023 at 10:15 am #686854Today is 12 June 2023 I has been checking the comments on all subjects AAA, SBL, SBR, AFM, APM then ATX for June 2023.
Here on ATX for the first time there is no much talking. Here we had the lowest discussion going on for this June 2023 ATX.
The question is why we all decided to just keep quiet for this ATX?
This is the major question why is worrying me here guys.
Zero comment on the new structure, most we don’t even remember what came maybe to help those sitting for Sept.
Me I did not like much question 1 even though the Ethical question was good, I did not enjoy the calcs and the way the questions were phrased.
q1 Capital gains and IHT and reliefs I never had much time to write as much as I wanted
Other wise the last 2 questions were fair.April 16, 2023 at 7:44 am #682681I wish only if there was a way to pay my Exam fees for ATX UK June 2023 now or last month and not wait for my results. ACCA kept say no exams available for me or waiting for results. l know already my results l failed ???.I never stopped studying from March 2023 till today since l know my March 2023 results already rewrite ATX UK.
March 7, 2023 at 6:37 pm #680423My strategy backfired badly. My Plan was to start from the back to front of the Exam meaning Q 4 3 2 1 but this time March 2023 Exam the Q 4 & 3 were more time consuming so it affected my time management badly. I realised later that Q1 & 2 were much better but was too late so l never had enough time to demostrate my knowledge so l must start planning for June 2023 Exam.
January 22, 2023 at 7:49 pm #677236Please to those who passed or to those with better materials or summarized note for ATX UK instead of throwing then away or keeping them to expire please may you help me or I can pay you for the materials you no longer need.
my email is: alfred.pams@gmail.com
Thanks in advance
January 22, 2023 at 7:38 pm #677235Thanks guys let me see what will happen in March 2023. I wrote the 2 subjects under doctors medication and I thought I used much too excel then lacked detailed explanation and flow of my presentation. The good thing I passed the hard AAA then with the above advice I am ready for ATX UK again.
January 18, 2023 at 2:53 pm #676919As an average student, I passed AAA with 55% on my 5 or 6th Attempt. I have one left, my advice is don’t give your money away free to ACCA put please give it to me or put it to March 2023 Exam. I tried twice I saw advice on this platform when it was late and many tried as well. ACCA will never change anything unless you are the lucky one.
Enjoy practicing passing AAA it’s like playing lotto game but with better chances of passing next time than lotto.
You might be tired of these same advice but DELETEdWatch and listen to all lots of audit videos exam practice on line and enjoy them. Know your weakness and strength on this paper and utilize both in preparation and during the exam date.
Depending on what makes you fast or happy maybe try to start with the last 2 questions in less than 85mins including reading and answering this is the skill the genius have those who score 60% and above, then you put all the time to Q1 knowing it’s just a race to put info on paper which is relevant to the questions asked for that exam only.Take all the easy marks in Q1 first but do after you have read the whole scenario and you had put the answering structure in place first for question 1, then run out of time when you have covered 90% of the Exam then you can get your 50s or above pass mark.
Show the examiner you know the risk but also remember that risk section during examine can put u off your planned time so try to do it last write 5 or 6 risks might help you to pass with good structure, ratios/trend analysis, write with confident like a manager and impress the examiner on this section since this question 1 is what examiner see first on your work and judges you from that first part.
Conclusion as an auditor you need to demonstrate that you can plan an audit, identify issues, finalise an audit, report and able to do other services this is only seen by the examiner judging on what you put on that day of the exam. So balance your answers from Q1 to Q3 then you pass this paper.
January 18, 2023 at 1:11 pm #676895I passed AAA with 55%, Failed ATX- UK 31%. I am so happy that I passed the hard one after more than 5 attempts on AAA plus I wrote when these 2 when I was very sick.
I am not sure what I did wrong in ATX. In my mind before the results I was thinking I will pass Tax then fail AAA or pass both at once. The 31% is not a true reflecting the knowledge I have for tax I think the examiner was not happy with me for use of the spreadsheet for the calc questions. That’s the problem with ACCA you will never know were you might have gone wrong unless you left out questions or if you did not prepare good enough.January 9, 2023 at 11:18 am #675541Interesting statement results we wanted. Its no longer in our hands on this issue of results. Lets just be strong when we receive them since its not the end our our lives. Well done to those left with only one to complete definitely you can close to smell the membership stage. Whether now or later with one its likely to come. Lets enjoy this journey and never stress and if we do let get healed fast so that in March 2023 and June 2023 we play this game again if the finances allows us.
October 15, 2022 at 3:11 pm #668716I am just interested to know how ACCA new paper structure will affect the pass rates for AAA, APM and AFM. If it can push pass rates to 40%s then one would say l am confident. The issue of 20% being at the discretion of an marker can be scary. SBR or certain selected ATX versions seems manily having more human with hearts markers.
April 18, 2022 at 5:07 am #653669My heart is broken again l thought l had made it but ACCA decided to give me a 48%. As they say ACCA never fails people but we fail ourself but the question is really at 48% or 49% on a subjective topics examined after all the hard work we put. It pains my heart that why can ACCA do this to us. Very pain full!!!!!
March 11, 2022 at 6:18 pm #651072There is too much typing in AAA than any other paper not completing the paper must not be a sign of incompetence. Only 1/4 or 1/2 is examined of the whole syllabus nowadays, worse more we all get different questions depending on when and where we write some might be lucky to get better questions. In SBR and SBL due to time pressure l attempted 70% of the paper and l passed with 56% this is fair marking. I try to write quality not quantity. In AAA the examiner must apply the same principle.
January 17, 2022 at 7:40 am #646522Well-done to those who passed!!!!!
Now looking for the Exam fees for March 2022 I did not make it this time.
I am OK since all my past ACCA passes were not on one sitting. Let the Game begin again till 7 March 2022.January 17, 2022 at 7:32 am #646517My first attempt APM I thought I might pass but failed it but I am in good spirits since I am used to this ACCA story. Its a matter of keeping writing till you crack it. Let the LOTTO Game continue !!!! Anyone to donate to me Exam fees please !!!!!!
January 14, 2022 at 3:21 pm #646049For most average students like us yes it makes more sense what Ryan said.
We are all bright smart and intelligent here so to me ACCA is like lotto just prepare enough, know exam answering tricks and it will be up to the marker to determine your future as they are also humans
I passed my SBR in September 2020 with 56% but I only wrote 3/4 of the paper. I ran out of time to start question 1.
In the spirit of cheering each other as we wait for our CV changes lets remember that we have 4 Exam sittings and in 10 years to pass ACCA. Other Exam Boards I know you do it in only 3 attempts you write 4 subjects in one sitting. If you fail one you start everything afresh with no carry forwards credits!!!!!!!January 13, 2022 at 4:41 pm #645919OK Kim let me relax if you say so “NO email means nothing”. With ACCA I have learnt to accept failure immediately and start prepare for the next Exam session. We are all smart here but we can’t pass all at the same time some will now or some have already, then some in the nest sitting. To avoid disappointment until Monday I regard myself as failed until ACCA said otherwise. I hope to get the Exam fees!!!!!
January 13, 2022 at 4:15 pm #645913I am a finalist in South Africa this email story has hit me hard but I have realized that I must start preparing for March 2022 Exams. I wrote my final 2 subjects (AAA and APM) in Dec 2021
October 18, 2021 at 9:23 am #638179Remarking/revaluation with ACCA its a money marking scheme. From my experience and many other guys who tried it this year and years before nothing changed. Please just use that money to book the next Exam. Please avoid 3 in 1 cries/pain. I did not listen to advise here last time I ended up crying for the initial failure by 1 mark, then then secondly I cried for my remarking money which did not change anything then thirdly I cried trying to get now for a re booking Exam fee it will like you are paying twice to write same exam. So please just book the next exam don’t let ACCA cause you any further pain. you will pass it in the next exam.
October 18, 2021 at 9:13 am #638172My 2nd attempt on SBR now I passed with 56%- yoooh!!!! miracles seems can happen after all. Question 2 was tough for me then question 3 I never had chance to read it but somehow I passed on the few answers I wrote on question 4 and 1 only.
2 to go now. I am not sure what to attempt in Dec 2021.
April 12, 2021 at 10:08 am #617172Please don’t its a waste of money just add that money to the next exam fees you will heal fast and back on track quicker.
I did that for 2 subjects when I was given 48% marks and a lot of student did but nothing changes. Its like a money making scheme of ACCA and ACCA even stated that nothing changes.April 12, 2021 at 10:02 am #617167I passed SBL with 55% which my was third attempt. AAA second attempt I failed with a 36% which is a drop from Dec 2020 I had 42%. I expected this since audit its like that.
Sorry I shall write a little longer here but my heart is with those ACCA with the 49% and 48% I know how painful it is since in SBL during Dec and Sept 2020 I was given 48%. I stopped even visiting myacca website for some months I used to have tears rolling down my chicks every time I open this page for results.
Its even difficult to know where one might have gone wrong not to get the 2 or 1 Mark. Its very expense and painful process to have 2 Marks cause a another payment of the exam fees. We must keep knocking that same door until it opens guys. The more we attempt the luckier we become, not all the exams are the same, with ACCA never say I will not make it and don’t let these 2 marks or 1 mark affect your life, to get to 48% it means you are good.April 12, 2021 at 9:27 am #617133Having failed with the same mark twice 48% in Sept & Dec 2020 this time I got lucky with 55% pass. But I failed my AAA with 36% which is a drop from my Dec 2020 attempt when I got 42%. Despite the AAA unexpected outcome I am in high spirit since SBL is very expense subject.
I still have 3 to go. - AuthorPosts
