Hi Uzair
It seems you can attempt it as many times as you like until you obtain a pass. All the “notes” are contained within the module itself in MyACCA. You work through units and get quizzes at the end of each one, culminating in a test at the end of the module. You need to obtain a 50% pass for this test alone in order to succeed.
Good luck!

November 14, 2011 at 2:21 pm #89588November 10, 2011 at 7:34 pm #88977I’d be interested to hear about people’s views and scores on this too. No-one seems to be talking about the results for some reason or is it that there aren’t many people doing it yet?
I’ve worked through all the sections and hope to do the test soon and will report back… I might have to revise the content first though.
I sadly missed the ACCA Discuss posts. Was there any useful info there about this module’s first time pass rates?
Good luck!
November 6, 2011 at 9:48 am #89277Hi salman2222
I am sitting two papers myself this December but am still fairly new to ACCA so not the best person to ask for study advice. If I were in your position, I would just study solidly until the exams and get as much done as I can and attempt the papers. I know that most people advise against spotting questions as this is a dangerous strategy but only you can gauge how much you have to study and how best to approach it.
Perhaps create a new thread here and ask your question to the experts and let them know what papers you’re attempting and how much you’ve already studied so they can give you their advice.
Good luck with your exams!
November 5, 2011 at 11:22 pm #89274No link yet on the PQ site for the ACCA tips but if you download the latest PQ magazine from there, they are listed on page 18 onwards.
November 5, 2011 at 11:18 pm #89336Hi. Well done on your pass!
I just put ACCA (diploma or whatever you’re doing) under the heading of Current Studies in the Education section of my CV. Underneath that, I list the name of the paper with ‘passed’ in brackets and I also list the papers that I am currently studying and intend to sit soon. I put ‘current’ in brackets next to those. I don’t note any percentages but I update the status of the papers as I work through the qualification.
Good luck with your studies!
November 1, 2011 at 8:13 pm #89296Hi
Someone else asked this question some time ago here and everyone agreed that the Basic Rate band should have been extended so this is obviously an error in the BPP answer. Sadly it seems that this is not a unique occurence.Good luck with your exams!
October 14, 2011 at 11:03 pm #88556Well done! Glad it worked out for you 🙂
October 7, 2011 at 12:01 pm #88553Hi there
I don’t own a Kindle (I have a Sony Reader) but I am sure that it is possible to convert PDFs to the Kindle format (mobi, I believe). You can find out how by Googling this. I use Calibre as my ebook manager as it handles most ereader formats (https://calibre-ebook.com) and you can get plugins to convert from one format to another.
You could also try contacting BPP themselves for suggestions about this.
Good luck!
September 7, 2011 at 9:19 pm #87581Hi
The old syllabus is to be tested by CBE up to the end of November 2011. From 1 December, all CBEs will be on the new syllabus. This is mentioned on the ACCA site https://www2.accaglobal.com/students/fia/ and BPP also confirmed this when I queried it.
Good luck with your exams!
August 23, 2011 at 11:53 pm #86288Hi
Yes, you need to complete and pass the online module you mentioned – along with passing FAB, FFA and FMA – so that you can be awarded the Diploma in Accounting and Business.
August 23, 2011 at 11:40 pm #87234Hi
If you sit F2 before December 2011, you will be tested on the June 2011 syllabus.
Any exams attempted from December 2011 onwards will be based on the new syllabus.May 13, 2011 at 11:43 am #81067I would contact the ACCA urgently for assistance in this matter. They may require documentary evidence from you if you have a valid reason for postponing.
February 24, 2011 at 11:27 am #76979Hi! Have you tried looking for BPP books on The Book Depository? They deliver free to Hong Kong so you’ll only pay the retail price of the book (sometimes discounted).
I’m currently in South Africa and find them a much cheaper way to get my books – but it takes about two weeks to get here.
Good luck with your studies!
November 16, 2010 at 11:19 am #69715I was under the impression that the new syllabus would only be tested from the December 2011 exams onwards?
October 8, 2010 at 12:26 pm #65107Hi Ansi
Sorry… only saw your latest reply now.
Thanks for the info… that’s what I needed confirming 🙂
July 2, 2010 at 10:20 pm #65105Hi Ansi
I had checked out the ‘fia’ link but that only relates to the Fundamentals in Accountancy (which is replacing or being integrated into the CAT) and does not mention how or when it will affect the ACCA professional qualification. Unless I’m missing something?
Maybe it’s too soon to know… I was excited by the idea of being able to put on my CV that I had this ‘diploma’ after completing the knowledge modules. It makes it so much easier for prospective employers when you’re talking about your studies and it helps create clear progression markers within the qualification.
